Hey there fellow warriors, i don"t know how to bring this home, but i will give it a shot.
I have been i the internet marketing arena for a year now, i can't lie to you but i haven't been experiencing great success, I make $100 over here and there. The $100 isn't that consistent, i only made it during the month of October, and never done it again, i think it was just a lucky streak. I have tried adsense, commission junction and CPL and i am just stuck, i devote ll my time to affiliate marketing, and so far not managed to get any great yields.
When i started out i had so much hopes, i had set really big goals, but did not manage to achieve anyone of them, regardless of all the time and work i put in, i even put a stop n my college work and focused on affiliate marketing hopping that by next year i was going to be self reliant. It seems things didn't go as i had expected. all that's keeping me going is the desire to succeed, even though i wake up everyday and see stagnant earnings and zeros on my accounts.
My goals for 2009 are simple, i have learned a lot i hope its going to help me get closer to my goal of $1500/day, i crave for the moment.
I don't know if i am able to achieve this by myself, and thast why i need your help. if you feel you can spare some time r resources for me, i would gladdly appreciate.
Thank you and have a happy festive season.

What's stopped you from getting consistent results? If you have the knowledge but aren't applying it I say go out and buy a copy of Anthony Robbins' Personal Power II.

A method that has worked for me,

Start off with small attainable goals.

Once you obtain your goal/s use a check list to cross them off.

Once the check list is complete, assess your position and set yourself some more goals.

When i first started blogging, my goals were, 60 posts in 3 months, 50 unique visitors per day. Thats it. I didn't worry about making money but instead concentrated on content and visitors. Did i achieve my goal, yes i did and built a solid foundation thats been feeding my family for years.

Start small and let momentum work its magic. To make goals of $1500/day is achievable, don't get me wrong, but lofty goals like these often lead to disappointment and will inevitably lead to you quitting.

Small goals, small steps and build a foundation that will last. By completing small goals you can actually work out yourself what works and where the money is at.

      Just my 2 cents

Don't agree with you and make about the secret. I've known for most of my life that the law of attraction works and it has been working against me. Of course it's obvious that action is required as well and merely positive thinking will get you nowhere on its own. The two work together nicely.

What was it that you did to make your first $100? There's no such thing as a lucky streak. Track everything you do and analyse the results to see what works.

Why haven't you repeated whatever process earned you that first income?

    Rant coming up...

I suggest you read the reports etc you've been writing (or whatever) in your signature

You know what really annoys me

When people come on the forum asking for help because they have been doing so poorly yet have a signature promoting something they obviously know nothing about

Also, why call yourself wealthyaffiliate when you're clearly not!

    Rant finished

You know, the first thing I would do, is step back and pause. Listen to what Kim is telling you. And, you know what? People ask me all the time, what works online? Everything does! If you focus.

Let's face it, you can't go around asking us about how to make money, and in your signature promoting a wealthy affiliate site to *Internet Marketers*.We know who the wealthy ones are in these business.

Big Mistake, change a few things, and then come back, and talk to us.

    Ok "Wealthy-Affiliate"

Study some of the books suggested above if you haven't yet

First of all get realistic. You have mentioned that you made some $100 in OCT and I guess that was your BEST month. So going by average, you made $1200 in 2008 from your affiliate marketing efforts. Now going from $1200/Year to $1500/day is not just unrealistic (Looking from present) but also its way Uphill.
I would suggest giving yourself a small attainable goal. I mean like just earning $500 (Maybe even less) in the month of JAn 2009. Only increase your goal once you have attained your earlier one.

Don't hop from one opportunity to other. If you are into AM then forget everything about CPA or Adsense.
FOCUS in the here and now and thats it!

    Hope this Helps

    Want to make $1500/day?

What if you could make $50/day or even $150/day for starters?

What did you do to make the $100?

If I remember correctly, one of the OP's first posts was spamming a membership site of the same name.

While singing the accolades and benefits of their system.

      Ah... the irony

One piece of friendly advice would be to carefully read your blog posts before publishing them, or, if English is not your strong point get someone else to do it.

I second what Richard said. You have a spelling error in your title, plus a question mark at the end of something that isn't even a question and no capital letter at the start of the next sentence.

That's without even talking about the actual post.

When you do begin marketing online, you are going to need to be able to write copy/ads without mistakes as this is what represents you to your potential customers.

I know it sounds like I'm being a dick with these criticisms but it's really important and doesn't take much time or effort.

If people see you making the effort you are also likely to get more help. A perfect example is this thread - you may well have gotten a lot more helpful input on how to begin learning if you'd taken the effort to write a well thought out initial post.

            Good luck anyway.

I think Bhupinder said it best - FOCUS is key. If your goal is $1500 per day then you need to work backward from that and determine how you are going to reach that goal. For instance, how many sales will it take you to get there. Then work on a plan that will help you make those sales.

Of course money is your goal but you should focus on the steps that will get you to that end result - don't make it about the money - make it about the process. Few people get into IM and make a huge amount of money the first year - for some it may take a few years for things to click. But eventually there is a time that things seem to come together.

You find something that works for you and you focus on it - master it if possible and then you can add something else. Consistency is vital to success. I learned that the hard way!

Yes, ditch the sig. Then, look carefully at what has made you money before. Distill and repeat. Then, come here and ask specific questions.

Thanks a lot, i can't begin to imagine how help full all of you have been. Thank you a lot. I agree with the part of focusing and making small yet achievable goals, and about the signature, i thought it was just a formality, and its not promoting anything.
