[TEST] "Buy Me A Beer" Feature Returns...

Hey Warriors,

I am just testing a new WarriorPlus feature and would love your help...

I am adding back the "Buy Me A Beer" feature of the old forum as a part of some new features I am adding to WarriorPlus over the next few days.

Please test them out and let me know if you have any problems with those links.

As you can see, you simply use your Warrior username (add plus '+' signs for spaces), and the optional dollar amount as shown in the second link.

PS: Try it out for yourself! All you need to do is replace my Warrior username with yours in the URL...

You just need a WarriorPlus account and a Paypal email address on file. If you have an account, you can add a Paypal email address on the "user options" page.

I just tried to sign up for a warrior plus account, it sent me my verification code but there's no box on the page to enter it into in my browser (Firefox).

Seriously, thanks for testing it out. Really, no drink is actually required (unless you are Brian, of course).

I had added in the return feature, but then I took it out and forgot to put it back. It is in there now, and seems to be working right.

You bring up a good point. I am not sure if my system will handle beers over 6 figures. Anyone want to give it a shot?

(low 7 figures will be fine!)

BTW, Scott, I don't see your beer link. If you set it up, I am sure some magical fairies will test it for you...

Yea, I know that the old link works, but that doesn't help new Warriors, and it doesn't allow you to add an amount directly to the link, etc...

The feature I am working on is just a small part of a much bigger system that will hopefully be ready next week. I just thought it would be helpful to let everyone use this part since it was ready and it would help me be sure things are working correctly.

So, take your stale beer somewhere else!

I have just added some additional "behind-the-scenes" code to this that I need tested. In order to do this, I need you to actually go through with the payment. I will refund your payment as soon as I see it.

Bought you a pop for a buck
the error comes when you clcik return to merchant.
Then you get this message:

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

Edit: By the way, the payment did go through, according to Paypal, I got the receipt.
I also got 12 emails from "Warriorplus wso payments" saying an error occurred while processing my paypal payment and it would be investgated by a human as soon as possible.

There is definitely something weird going on. Do you happen to have the URL it sent you to after you clicked "Return to Merchant"?

That is weird because it looks like that error is coming from the Warrior Forum when it is returning the user here.

I wonder if Allen has seen it before.

OK! It looks like I have all of the kinks worked out of the system.

Many thanks to everyone who helped test and found bugs for me.

Everything seems to be working great now, and I have changed the link structure a bit to make it cleaner (the old links still work, too).

Everything seems to be working great now, and I have changed the link structure a bit to make it cleaner (the old links still work, too).
