BuySellAds conversion rate

Hello,
I decided to give display ads a shot. I'm looking to buy a couple thousand impressions on buysellads on a relevant website that gets 700k monthly traffic.
What is the average conversion rate if I direct link?
If I have a decent product and a decent banner is it really possible to get no sales at at all? Had some cases in which I got zero sales and it sucked.
I only need one sale to achieve profit.

    Conversion rate is dependent on ad, site profie, product profile and funnels. If the ad doesn't arouse curosity, its not going to get clicks and hence it will impact the conversion rate.

    Make sure the product matches the website.
    It will not work if a offer is weight loss and it is on weight loss blog. If the offer is geared toward and the site is dedicated to weight loss for men, it won't work.

    These are simple things but you need to look at all of these factors before you advertise on site.

    Is ad space via Buysellads usually about $3 or $4 per 1000 impressions? It seems you'd need to buy much more than a couple thousand impressions to test whether the website is a good match for your product.
