Client ran a paid social media campaign - unsuccessful. How can I improve?

A client of mine had ran a paid media campaign (Google Search & Display as well as Facebook) last year, however it was unsuccessful as it didn't deliver any site traffic, and got them no leads.

I've looked into their targeting criteria as well as the creative they had used and it's all quite good, there's not a great deal that I'd change.
It's got me a bit stumped, does any have any idea what could have been the cause?

Not getting leads is one thing, but no traffic to site? It doesn't seem right to me.

Any help is welcome

No traffic whatsoever is indeed weird, actually, let me correct myself, it's impossible. There are a lot of things to look at when you're trying to run these campaign, you need to look at the bid he placed, did he get rejected, did he get blocked, did the site pass compliance with the companies you mentioned? The creative and everything could have been great. Got to say this kind of looks like a tech wise. If you give us some more details might help to figure out this issue, And none the less, if it was a year ago, might be good to try and duplicate everything and see if this repeats itself

Landing page quality may be an issue. This happens in most of the platforms as they didn't want their user to fell into a click bait. Check the content, Image, white backgrounds may also affect this. or the targeting is too narrow.

I wish you have shared something that could elaborate on the issue. That can help me pinpoint the issue.

Yeah, Eventually if the flow is difficult for the user, meaning too many clicks, trouble making the actions required on the landing page, anyway, please share more details mate

To give good advice we would need more details on their ads, targeting, etc. How much did they spend? Any split testing? Etc?
