Hi All

Am a bit puzzled by the types of promotion within CPA companies
so
Have i got this about right or not ?

Incentive = When you simply add some kind of incentive/extra offer for the cusomer to sign up etc ?

e-mail = you can send this offer to your list ?

Banner = the offer accepts the use of Banners to promote the offer ?

Contextual = The offer must SPECIFY that it's the same type of product as the description = this is the one i,m confused with the most

Search = Use of search/organic promotion using SEO techniques ?

Social = Can use Facebook, Myspace etc as promotion ?

Thanx for any help

Yeah pretty much, but contextual has nothing to do with what you think it does.

Contextual basically scans a page for content and places applicable ads that match that content.

your pretty spot on, but for search it can be like ppc traffic from yahoo, bing, ask, etc.
contextual serves you ads based on the content you are looking at, ex. womens health, its going to be tailored to womens offers. you are receiving these ads because you downloaded some sort of spyware from some game or download.

      hope this helps

Everyone above gave all good answers the way I think about it, when you go to Google and set up a campaign somewhere there it gives you a choice if you want to set up a search which goes to the search engine or content which you can put up text or image ads and these ads are the ones that have adsense on them.

And adsense shows up on pages that have that content on them or as close as Google can get sometimes, not so good though sometimes.
        Hope this helps.
