CPA offer - what is your selection process?

This is for all of the CPA veterans out there. Wondering how you select a CPA offer to promote. Is it based on the EPC, the payout or both? When you were brand new to CPA, what types of offers did you work with to get started? Where there specific niches you targeted or was your decision making process just based on the EPC and/or payout? I know that eventually, everything comes down to testing and fine tuning but I was just curious how you started the process. Thanks in advance!

    Hey,

This is an area that I struggled with when I was starting out, with the sheer amount of offers available it can be quite confusing.

I created this thread here which details exactly how I choose my offers and it should help you and anyone else struggling to choose an offer to promote.

    Hope that helps.

Thats a great thread Jason. The one major thing I look at or think of is how will my audience (demographic) relate to the offer and is it of strong relevance. On one of my video game sites i wouldnt put an offer for foreign language courses even if it pays great but i would put a lesser paying ad for a call of duty offer or maybe a ringtone site. So for me when I am viewing im looking to make a match between the offer and my audience/visitors and it works well and i get good conversions. Hope that helps

I go off several factors - EPC on the network, what my AM says, pay out price, and niche

      Great Post !

Jason you give very good advice on your thread
      ...thanks

Another factor to consider is the appropriate bid and method you are going to use to implement each campaign, some niches have high keyword bids, others not as much. So it will be important to get the best possible ROI.

As Jason says, for long term offers it is better to create a landing page and it will also help you lower the bid price.

The media network you use for traffic is also important
...if you are going to use adwords or any other media buys network,

Just to mention few of them

Adbrite (evendow it changed it is still a good source of traffic)
      AdReady,
      Adblade & Advertising ( I really like these 2),
      Pulse 360,
      Clicksor,
      Media Traffic
      Traffic Vance
      Icewater Media
      Direct CPV

As you know MOST of the traffic goes through media networks
...not related to the major search engines

It will be nice to have a software that does all this research or at least that you can feed
certain variables to get the job done easier and more efficiently.

      Take care

Awesome post and some great network suggestions.

Remember, use your AM wisely, they are a fantastic source as to what offers to promote, especially if you have a prticular traffic strategy in mind.

For the most part I just talk to over with my AM.

It really depends on what my plans are and the niche I am attacking.

I do everything SEO, PPV, PPC, Free Methods. So I usually talk it over and see what offers they have for my niche and traffic sources.
