  I can't speak for XC3... I am assuming it's Xtreme Conversions.
  
  My understanding is XC does conversion tracking only to the keyword or referrer level.
  
  Affiliate Prophet is different in that it not only does conversion tracking but it uses Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action (AIDA) to help predict how well your sales pages or presell pages are doing with the traffic being sent.
  
  It will do AIDA to the keyword level and even content network traffic.
  
  The key there is that you can predict what works with minimal visitors saving a ton of time and money. You don't have to spend a fortune testing many conversions to see if your changes are working.
  
  There is an upgrade once purchased that will allow you to do organic traffic for multiple pages and a heatmap of where your visitors are clicking off your page so you can fix the areas that are causing problems.
  
  I have the Pro version and I use both Affiliate Prophet and Prosper202 for my tracking needs.

XC: You can host it yourself, has more features, easy to set up (relatively), license for unlimited sites.
Tracking 202: Service. Free. You need to worry about your keywords being hosted on somebody else's server.
Prosper 202: Self hosted, free, enough features to do tracking pretty decently.

I have tried Tracking 202 and thought is was good but the one draw back I have not figured out how to get past. Is there a way to track numerous keyword conversions in one ad group WITHOUT having to ask your affiliate manager to place code on there page?

Hey,

Yeah, the way tracking202/Prosper202 works is you setup your affiliate link in #3 making sure to add the subid= at teh end of your affiliate link and it adds a subid # to it and tracks on an IP address basis.

So you will get a different subid for every click of your tracking link. Then you upload your converted subid's from your affiliate network to Tracking202 and it shows you your conversions and the associated data.

No tracking pixel or postback URL needed, all done automatically.

Your most welcome... Yeah Prosper202 is open source, pretty cool, and works good.

I haven't tried Covert Conversion Pro, but it looks interesting for only $27... There's a 30 day money back guarantee. It's like most things in IM, you never know until you try it.

What I have found is that most tracking software does conversion tracking, which is good. But if you want to do more with less AIDA is the way to go. I really like Affiliate Prophet.

You can use Prosper202 for FREE, try it out, and see if it suits you.

Once you get into tracking using free software you'll be able to make a better decision on which paid software you may like.

I use Affiliate Prophet with the content network... It will pull the referrer site down to the page and provide the AIDA on it...

I actually use both Prosper202 and Affiliate Prophet together at the same time... Both pull the referrer while one will track which ad produces the sale, I use multiple ads per ad group, and the other provides the AIDA. It works out really well, especially if you are doing CPA offers. There are some other advantages to tracking with both as well.

There is an upgrade you can get... I had purchased Conversion Prophet Pro, I got a free upgrade to Affiliate Prophet Pro when it was released, so I'm not sure the price.

But Affliate Prophet Pro includes:

Taguchi/multivariate testing (Haven't tried it yet) Will be using it soon.
Sales Letter X-ray (which is really cool)

I have used sales letter x-ray on my review pages and it is killer. It provides a heatmap of where folks are leaving your page... You'll get a solid indication within a few hundred visitors.

This allows you to see whether they are leaving where you want them too or if there is something making them leave prior to your call to action.

So instead of testing a whole bunch of things based on conversion data to find the problem you can visulize right where the problem is and fix it quickly.

Pretty cool stuff...

I recommend Derek's WSO.

$10 dollars was more than worth it. I wasted 67 dollars on something called Covert Conversion Pro last year, (which had absolutely ZERO support) never got it working properly, got frustrated and never found a proper solution till now. Prosper202 is really clean, works great, and after watching your videos, straightforward and easy to use. Excellent work, I look forward to any updates you have too.

P.S. I've always blown off mindmapping, but low and behold...I'm gonna try it finally.

Your most welcome. I like the AIDA feature it provides me a great indicator of how my pages are doing with minimal traffic.

It is a lot better to me than guessing what to test and waiting for conversions hoping you guessed correctly. With AIDA you can narrow it down quickly.

I don't have AdTrackz, but from what I can tell from the sales page it looks pretty cool. I like how it tracks anything with a tag, instead of having to create another tracking link.

While Prosper202 is mainly designed to do PPC >>> CPA, you can do much more with it. You can track your own products, content network traffic, placement traffic, banners, email links, etc.

It may not be quite as elegant as AdTrackz, but it is free software. If you haven't purchased anything yet I would recommend starting with Prosper202 and getting your feet wet in tracking.

Once you have some ad tracking under your belt you can look at the different paid software available and make a more informed decision on what features you really want in your ad tracker software.

The Prosper202 forum is active and the software works pretty good.

It's a great way to get started with tracking and test the waters a little before you purchase something.

  If you're saying about PPC tracking tool for adwords, I prefer PPC Web Spy. It tracks the keyword in real time and only install them as a plugin on your firefox. Overall, its free and worth your time trying them out.

202 (I'm currently using Pro). Track conversion to the keyword and creative level across the big 3. Looks like it's going to cost me $70/month when it comes out of beta. Money well spent.

I was using the free, self-hosted version of 202 prior to 202 Pro. If you're not tracking PPC to the keyword/ad level, you really have no excuse.

I use my own, updates adwords cost data automatically, rotates landing pages, rotates offers, hides keywords, provides keyword level roi numbers, (along with adgroup and campaign). It also takes less time to setup a new campaign and most importantly does not require any pixel placement for offers, (it doesn't use any pixels at all saving even more time). The pro version of tracking 202 is the only competitor but mine is $50 per month and is completely self hosted.

Any suggest for a good way/method/software/tool that can track lead generation (e.g. loan and debt CPAs) offer?

It is something like site visitors will need to fill in an online loan application form (i.e. with their name, address, phone number,...etc), then click on the submit button to complete their loan applications.

My QUESTION: any way we can track these visitors, our bid kws and the search kws?

Hey ebuyer123,

You should be able to use Tracking202 (service) or Prosper202 (self-hosted) to track your visitors and at least the search keywords. They are designed for PPC >>> CPA. Depending on how you setup your adwords and landing pages is depending on if you can track bid keywords.

Tracking 202 Pro is an option. It's in beta right now.

Also PPC-Coach's tracking software should handle it as well.

Several choices depending on your needs and budget.

I'm sure there is some other CPA tracking software available too, I just haven't looked for it.

Hey ebuyer123,

There are several ways to do tracking... CPA is a slightly different animal. The key to CPA offers is to use the subid's that are built into the affiliate networks for tracking. Thats what most of the tracking software available does.

Affiliate Prophet is a bit different in that it was designed around Clickbank instead of CPA... The good news is Clickbank uses subid's as well called the TID.

This works ok unless you want some specific details. You can still track CPA, but it may not be as straight forward as you would want. The subid updates are really only for Clickbank as far as I can tell. So you probably won't get conversion data in the campaign overview unless you have the tracking pixel on the thank you page.

Not a big deal because you can still track it by subid, you'll just have to do it manually. That is why I use both AP and P202 at the same time for CPA offers. They both have their strong points and provide good information respectively.

I really like the AIDA feature of AP. It helps me understand how my marketing is doing very fast. I can test several elements as well very quickly saving a lot of time and money.

So using tracking software designed specifically for CPA like T202 and P202 and PPC-Coach's has it's advantages.

You can combine several tracking software and a little bit of php code to do even more.

It really boils down to what you want to get out of your tracking. Set your goals and features then use tracking software or PHP code or a combination to reach your tracking goals.

Is that mean your Prosper202 is more gear toward CPA and it is FREE to download (any monthly fee after that??). I know you have a wonderful video WSO make for Prosper202.

Affiliate Prophet is already on my shopping list, but I will get it later on as I have been hand full with other stuff recently...lol

Why P202 is free? Any paid/Pro/advanced version of P202 that is more powerful? Most of the time I will go for a Pro one whenever it is possible. As you know, a serious I.M folk will need a serious tracking tool for doing a better 'job'.

  The "best" PPC tracking software in IMHO is Affiliate Reporting. ( Home: AffiliateReporting.com )
  
  This software automates about everything. It automatically pulls in your cost data from Google and friends. It automatically pulls in your revenue data from Commission Junction other places.
  
  Then it tells you exactly how much profit, or loss, each keyword is making for you.
  
  It does a lot more, but that is the nut of why it is the best PPC Tracking service - hands-down. I love it.
  
  On the other hand, it is not a free or cheap service. It is expensive and it's target market is super affiliates. $500 a month is the starting price.
  
  Customer support is great, and new features are continually being added, as you would expect from a service requiring this type of investment

Why P202 is free? Any paid/Pro/advanced version of P202 that is more powerful? Most of the time I will go for a Pro one whenever it is possible. As you know, a serious I.M folk will need a serious tracking tool for doing a better 'job'.

Your so welcome.

Yes, Prosper202 is designed for CPA. It's totally free to download. No fees later. Basically Wes and company are using the Google business model to buid their business. They provide quaility free tools then build paid tools later.

Well later has arrived, they have a Tracking202 Pro version that adds a lot of features. It's in beta right now, you can probably still get on the list.

The only downside I see to the tool is that it is a service and not self-hosted. For a lot of folks that won't be a big deal. Wes and company have been totally transparent and their free open source tool (Prosper202) has proven that.

They make no bones about it, their a software company and aren't interested in building campaigns or stealing campaigns.

If you are really doing a lot of traffic, Prosper202 may not be the best route to go. It all depends on what kind of information you are trying to get from your tracking. It works well and provides a ton informaton and is suitable for folks that do heavy traffic.

But for most beginner and intermediate marketers it's a great first tracking tool to get your feet wet and learn tracking.

It really helps you understand what tracking can do and the kind of information you need to make better marketing decisions.

If you are doing article marketing, banners, content network, placement, your own product sales, and other web links you can use Prosper202 for tracking. Not bad at all for a free product.

Once you learn what you need and want you can stick with P202 or make an informed decision about purchasing a Tracking product that will fill your needs.

All in all I think it is a great way to test the waters.

  I haven't used LPGen, but I have used iframes and a PHP script that allows for dynamic landing pages with iframes while tracking with Prosper202. A similar setup to LPGen.
  
  I don't specifically go over it in my WSO. But P202 is pretty straight forward. You'll setup the landing page in P202. You create LP code and put it just above the </body> in the html code. You then use the new url provided for the iframe src. You can cloak your data from the networks too.
  
  Your dynamic landing pages won't be affected. You treat them like any other landing page.
  
  The difference is you'll only have one landing page that you are tracking in P202, instead of many, since they are dynamic. Not a big deal really, you'll still be able to track conversions to the keyword level and even content, placement, banners, and other web links as well.
  
  If you decide to get the WSO, I'll answer your questions no problem. If you need a video specifically for a scenario that I don't cover I don't mind doing it and sending an update to everybody.

Your most welcome...

How are you trying to pass the tracking code? If you are trying to add it to the affiliate link subid in the iframe, I couldn't get that to work either. But you can create a simple PHP redirect and pass that code to the redirect page then use the redirect for your iframe src.

That should allow you to pass your tracking code via the subid to your affiliate network.

There is another thead where we discussed doing something similar for clickbank products from article resource boxes and other links. If that is what you are trying to accomplish, I'll pass that thread on to you so you can check out how we did it.

If you are doing something else please provide some details and I'll try to get you up and running.

The main problem with using googles conversion code is that you have to get that placed on the thank you page of the offer. You don't have access to that page, so you have to get your Affiliate Manager to get it placed. Then it's a matter of having several hundred of these "pixels" they're called, placed on one page. If your code is not near the top of the list, you pixel may or may not fire.

Fortunately, there are tracking systems that don't require any pixels to be placed.

I know one vendor on Clickbank (there may be others) who can put each of his affiliates tracking code on his thank you page.

I think he does it dynamically i.e. there's only one 'pixel', so he'll match your clickbank id with your google id.

Any merchant could apply this, clickbank or CPA. I don't know if this is a custom script but it shouldn't be that hard for a vendor to have it written.

It doesn't hurt to ask the vendor.

Sounds good, how does your's deliver the tracking , does it check back to the CPA / PPC account somehow ?

Since starting affiliate marketing over 4 years ago I have always wondered how to find out exactly which keyword produced my affiliate product sales... I always wanted to be able to track the sale through from my Pay-per-Click Ad through to the product owners remote website thankyou page.

Finally I have "cracked the code" of exactly how to do it, and I figured if I needed to know how to do it, then other serious affiliate marketers would also need to.

What I am proposing to do is this:-

I am going to put together a comprehensive training course on exactly how to do it - It will be called "Conversion Code Breaker".

It will be a series of videos and will contain full instructions of how to do it - It will be just like as if you were looking over my shoulder as I set it up for myself - everything including how to set it all up, will be explained in full detail.

Derek, would you mind giving an update about your experience with Affiliate Prophet Pro?

I sent them a support email through their system two weeks agao but have not heard anything back from them. (Already a bad sign)

Anyway, I would like to know what updates they have made to APP since Feb. and whether they have made it easier to use the software with CPA offers.

How accurate is the tracking through their pixel system? They allow now to set 3 different pixels, right?

Would love to hear your input about Affiliate Prophet Pro. Thanks

and i have a VPS with solarvps

I dont think there's anything special with prosper - so any PHP host for a buck or two/month should work.
