pop ups for email submits

Just curious if anyone getting organic google traffic has tried to put email submit offers like free ipads, gift cards etc on pop ups, pop unders, exit pops or whatever else you can do to "force" people to atleast view the offer page.

I am ok with getting a low conversion % but getting a low conversion % in combination with a low click rate means that I am maybe earning $1.40 for my site that gets 6000 unique visitors a month.

Anyone have any experience with using pop ups? does it increase conversions? can someone tell me a good way to do it?

    In my own experience pop up increase conversion but not with exit and pop under.

    If you are using wordpress you can use WP-Popup Scheduler plugin for Pop up and for pop under you can try to insert code that I attach to header file in your wordpress.
