Being An Advertiser On A CPA Network

Hi all...was wondering if any of you guys are an advertiser instead of a publisher on any CPA networks. (meaning you are the producer of the product). I have been talking with Clickbooth and it seems you need to get a reserve in before they put you on the network. The manager told me that FREE TRIAL is the way to go for conversions, but that 15% of people on average cancel the trial. So say we get 1000 conversions and the payout to publishers is $20...this means we would need a reserve of $20,000 to pay our affiliate/publishers before we see the other 85% recurring sales come in which would be far more. Right?

We dont really have the budget to put up 20k. Im assuming that is what they are expecting initially for the wads of conversions we would get initially.

IS this how it works?
AM I missing something?
Id like to get on Clickbooth.
Any advice would be grand!

In an nutshell, unless you know your acquisition costs, have proven creatives (email, banner, text) and have proven continuity and/or high-end ticket items in the backend, you are not ready.

You need to test and have proven campaigns in paid search, display (banner) and email (email drops). You need an optimized sales funnel, too. Otherwise, your chances of success are very low.
