Hey,

I am wondering if anyone has any kind of example of conversion rates for ringtone LP's. I have been looking into them but can't seem to find any kind of conversion rates anywhere. Thanks in advance for the help!

Cheers,
Brett

I've pushed good targeted traffic directly to claimed "high converting" ringtone offers and haven't make a single conversion out of over 100 clicks, losing around 20 bucks. I don't think people really buy them so much anymore (online atleast). If they want a ringtone, they're gonna buy it directly from their phone in my opinion. Otherwise if you can't afford the keyword "ringtones", then your probably not gonna get conversions. Keep in mind, this is just in my opinion. You can try it out for yourself.

Thanks for the view, you make a good point. Something I will keep in mind. From what I have read the ringtone offers can be hit or miss. Thanks again for the input.

All of a sudden ringtone offers do not seem to be converting very well for me either.

You can make a buck on ringtones with PPC, using very specific long tail with the artist in the title etc, but it's a tough gig, and forget Google IMO, try MSN and Yahoo or content/pay for placement.

I have a colleague right now doing media buys for ringtones, matching exact sites with the kind of music the listerns would want on their phone and apparently he's doing ok, although it's early days.

The "problem" if you like is that the better the phones get the easier it is to find exactly what you want from the phone itself but there is definatly still a market and an ROI out there if you play the game correctly.
