Should networks still pay you for leads that doesn't back out for the advertiser?

Just wondering, if you run traffic to an offer and do many leads (doing nothing shady/following the rules) but it doesn't back out for the advertiser and the advertiser doesn't want to pay, should the network still pay you for your leads?

not an answer you want to see but its NO cause the fact is when you use E-mail Submits you kinda agree to the fact that if the offers don't back out for the advertiser they wouldn't pay, that's just how it is unfortunately...wish it was the other way around tbh...eventually networks want a good rappo with their advertisers right, hence there are no two ways on this one , however you could try submits that pay a higher payout, probability of it backing out is higher ..

    enjoy hope this helps

If I were an advertiser, NO! It's performance marketing, you only pay when the leads convert. Make sense?

Well I'm talking about the network, not the advertiser.

Should the network pay out of their own pockets even if the advertiser won't?

The affiliate has generated legit leads, regardless of whether it backs out or not. If it doesn't back out, the advertiser should contact the network ASAP to have the affiliate stop the traffic.

While your question seems simple, there are actually several different scenarios that have already been asked about in this thread.

        When should/shouldn't a network pay:

Leads don't back out for the merchant: Yes, the network should pay you for all your leads. When leads don't back out for a merchant from an affiliate, the affiliate should be pulled from the campaign and leads paid for in full. NOTE: "back out" in this case means the overall quality of the leads didn't allow the merchant to profit. This does not include fraudulent leads.

Leads do not pass validation: No, the network should not pay you for the leads that don't pass validation. Some campaigns, especially higher paying ones, require additional validation that happens AFTER the surfer has left the website. When this validation fails, the merchant is entitled to reverse the lead from the network, and the network subsequently should reverse the lead from the affiliate. Two quick examples: first, a surfer uses a stolen credit card that is only discovered once the merchant tries a rebill. Second, a surfer enters entirely fake data in the form and cannot be reached by the merchant because of that (typical in EDU and some insurance campaigns). There are other cases, but the majority of campaigns do not have these reversals. NOTE: some networks claim they don't do any lead reversals for any reason, but instead they may choose to shave leads from the campaign.

All leads are fraudulent: No, the network should not pay. This happens typically when an affiliate uses fraudulent means to generate leads. Usually, the affiliate will be terminated from the network.

Merchant doesn't pay the network: Yes, the network should pay the affiliate for the leads. It's not the affiliate's fault that the network could not manage both their risk and their accounts receivable.

I was in something similar to this. Because we are all basically in sales, we do not get paid until the work is done. When the work is 100% completed you get rewarded.
