Having Trouble With Offers Converting

Hi I am somewhat new to CPA. I have recently set up a number of different offers and sent them to a couple friends of mine. For some reason despite the fact that they put their email in and did what it said was required for a lead according to the CPA company the email submit form did not convert. Is this normal? Do I just need to watch out for certain offers? Is it the tracking? I have just been copying and pasting the links into bit.ly. They show up as clicks in my control pannel. What kind of criteria are these companies using to say a lead isn't good enough? Are many of them just full of loop holes or do they really require more than someone just putting in their email or zip on the first page. Thanks...

  • I don't use CPA, but when I've read various programs in the past they always had a "lead conversion" page, stating exactly what your lead had to do for it to convert to a sale for you. They vary, but the ones I read up on required payment from the buyer so if your leads are simply joining a trial offer that might not be enough.

Some offers only allow search, social, email ect. Maybe in this case you are sending traffic that is not allowed.

I am promoting via social avenues with offers like get a free ipod which say they convert on first page email submit. Which are specific to social media traffic.

Most CPA networks nowadays do not allow you to promote those kind of offers by just sending a link to someone or posting it on your wall or on a facebook page. You can only promote them by using facebook ads.

Check to see if that's the case.

Also, having your friends signup isn't a good idea because chances are they are only doing it for you and have no intention of going through with the offer. Which means you can get banned from the network.

This is pretty common, your offer could be blocking certain emails, traffic sources, and/or something down those lines.

With email submit offers the advertisers can be pretty picky with conversions.

    Some just scrub.

All email submits scrub hard. 50-90%. I have seen the back ends personally and it's pretty scary. My advice is to stay clear of email submits all together. Focus on something like Dating to get started with CPA.

A lot of networks don't count some of your leads, especially email submits

There could be several reasons, the email could already be in the database, your friends could have had someone else's cookie in their browser already, the ip they used may have already signed up, etc..

email submits aren't the most reliable for tracking either.. if your really that concerned, reach out to your AM to get a proper answer, as they will know best

Right, there are many possibilities. Email submits usually have a scrub rate above the average, but it's a problem that we usually few after doing some volume, not right from the beginning.

One more issue could be the network itself but as a newbie, i would suggest to stay clear of email submit altogether.

You also need a good tacking software like propser202 or cpvlab to track your clicks and conversions.
