Dating offer without lander?

Hi all,

I just deposited my first $100 to POF. I have chosen Peerfly's 40plussingles offer to begin with. I was thinking of launching the campaign linking directly without the lander. I understand landing pages give you a chance to grab the cookies for your list but i just wanna get started without it so i don't have to think a lot for now what goes in lander as i don't have good experience with designing the landers.

May i continue direct? Any ideas?

    It's totally up to you, but I always split test between direct linking and landing pages

    If Luke says direct linking is work, you can go for it.

    But landing pages always nearly 1.5x my conversions.

      I would a suggest making a more sexual landing page with a lot of pictures of users.

      People are much more likely to respond to "Sexy Men/Women" than "Hand Picked by Experts"

      You can even call out the visitors geo location.

      Try emotion not logic. Make sense?

    2 landers basically,,, same stuff, 1 targetting men and other females.... Attaching a bit emotions to the female one and using some direct content for the men one... all other things the same....

    Ideas???

    Most people will advise you against direct linking (the conversion rate is generally lower), but if you're just starting out I think it's a good idea. Designing your first landing page can seem like a daunting task to a beginner (even though it isn't that hard), and the important thing is that you actually get started and take action. If you're the kind of person that burns out easily, then I think direct linking is the best course of action. You probably won't be able to build a winning campaign with a direct link, but that's not important anyway when you're just starting out...you're just trying to learn the ropes.

    I recommend you direct link until you're familiar with how to pick an offer from your affiliate network, how to set up a campaign on POF, how to split-test images, etc. You can worry about getting some nice landers after that's set up. You don't want to try to take on too much at once, or you risk burning out.

    yes, do at which you are comfortable in.
    i think you can also learn to create good landing pages and than start promoting with them.
