I'm new to mobile CPA too. Is it best to target countries with a low CPC? Also, are CPS offers really the best? I'd assume those would be the hardest to convert.

I am still working on my breakthrough with mobile CPA. Currently I have a return of about 15% only. I'll post here somewhere when I start to get positive.

I have been following alot of you guys the past week or so. I want to start with Mobile CPA too, and specifically in the adult niche. It's hard to start out because you don't know where and how to start systematically really.

I'm currently trying out buzzcity with Peerfly (as they have quicker pay outs). I'd love to try out traffic junky for some good adult traffic but as Tuan says on his blog, you shouldnt really start with that unless you have a VPS or dedicated server in place (so that you can install Imobitrax) and properly track the traffic.

Trying to find my way about. So far i spent $10 dollar on 2 campaigns and got 300 clicks for each. No conversions so I quit them.

Chad Hamzeh once said theres only 1 winner out of 20 campaigns. so....

I have spent $150 on buzzcity,Only get $3.5 back.

I never get so bad conversions.

Peerfly hasn't got many mobile offers but some offers do have mobile websites. Peerfly do pay outs weekly and can even daily. However I have spent 30 dollars on buzzcity now. Each campaign got over 300 clicks and I've made no conversion. I don't use banner ads. Just text and direct linking...

Text ads did not convert anything for me too in a few campaigns, sometimes it is even hard to get traffic. Maybe not all publishers enabled text ads, so I just went for banner ads mostly.

Even with banner ads I felt there was lack of inventory, the campaigns I ran rarely hit my daily budget. With low inventory, I felt it is hard to test and optimize my campaigns, and also have problem when you try to scale your campaigns up.

And are you still working with PeerFly?

Yeah I don't get how other people are profiting with buzzcity then? I don't get it.

I ran a lot of campaigns for Canada too and totally no conversion from there, maybe that is why Canada recommended bid is only $0.01. Don't spent too much on Canada if it doesn't convert for you.
As I mentioned in OP, CPI/CPL offers convert worse than CPS offers for me.

When I go to preview campaign on buzzcity, it just gives me a url. Is that normal?

I think it really depends on the countries and offers you're targeting.

First you need to spend more than 100USD and probably you will start to earning. I have spent more than 250USD and I have only five CPS transaction above 10USD in Germany. All other my transactions are related to CPI between 1,5 and 3,5 USD. My ADS providers is BuzzCity. My destination country is Japan, Qatar and Germany. I trying to figure out what is key to success!

I have some questions
1) Did you create your own banners too? No, I'am using offered banner on MobPartner, not text ads only graphic banner
2) Do you target only 1 channel per campaign or multiple channels? (I found that bid price will be much higher if target only 1 channel per campaign to get enough traffic)- I am using only 1 channel per campaign, testet with multiple but not give me better result
3) Did you apply for Custom IP Targeting upgraded BuzzCity account? No

My conclusions:
1. I need to test other mobile ads networks instead BuzzCity, preffered by MobPartner such as LeadBolt where you can get more target options (OS version, Telco for every country, interest...)
2. Chose one campaign which offer CPS above 10USD and set limit per day about 10USD - you will have more chance to back your spent money (Choose cpc not more than 0,05 per click)
3. Chose campaign planner on BuzzCity for target OS, Telco, device
4. I have great result for CPS on Symbian OS
5. Chose animated banner if exist
6. Don't run campaign more than 3 days if you don't have result on them, after 200 clicks you must have at least one transaction
7. Test with different banner,
8. I don't have success in US and Canada via BuzzCity

Best convert for CPI : Canada , US , Mexico , Japan
Best convert for CPS : South Africa , Asia
Best convert for Android : Europe

I use only Mobpartners + Buzzcity

Pool is not needed at all, callback integration with buzzcity is optional too. But if you target several channels in one campaign, you can see which channel converted from buzzcity report using callback url. It is just used to track conversion, but sometimes I see BuzzCity will miss some conversions in report from MobPartner.

Berkxz, you can read in my first post. I am not running any campaigns anymore since I create this thread. (I am one of the new starter with limited budget )

My conclusion so far, you got to have enough budget to test offers until you found one that is converting using your campaign setting. Some spent hundreds and some spend up to thousands. (David mentioned that he spent $1000 before he start making profit)
Another risk is, there is no guarantee of how long an advertiser will run a campaign. If you joined MobPartner I believe you will always receive emails telling you to pause certain campaign. You got to knock your head on the wall if you found a profitable campaign and next day the offer stopped.

Yes it's called single flow conversion, but such campaign is not allowed in some countries with strict regulation somewhere in Europe/UK. Some people don't even know they are going to be charged if they don't see the subscription terms/TOS.

I'd stay away from BuzzCity now from my research, I found lots of bad reviews. This single thread below is providing significant impact.

It is a sub-forum for publishers to discuss about buzzcity, and guess what? You can find a few threads where they discuss how to abuse with click-fraud. I do not fully understand indonesian language but from what I understand, they did click-fraud in manual and automated ways (script). They click their own ads with proxies and they keep the CTR below radar. BuzzCity is trying their best to fight against click-fraud too, from what I read in their blog.

Not all traffic from BuzzCity is low quality but I think you gotta spend a lot of money to figure them out, or unless you know how to filter them out, or someone experienced enough is willing to share you their gathered data.

If you ask me where to get quality traffic now? I will recommend AirPush, simply because not everyone can join them. AirPush SDK can only be integrated into advanced mobile apps, means most of those apps require coding from App Developers, hence higher quality publishers.

Above information is based on my research and I don't claim myself professional/guru or anything, this is just what I wanna share with you guys who want to join mobile CPA journey. PPC is a risky game if you don't know what you are doing, you got to study from CPA networks to Ad Networks to demographic and lots more. I'm not doing mobile CPA atm but I will still keep an eye on what is going on.

If you use BuzzCity tell them to enable the option to block publisher IDs. After some tests you will see that some publishers/sites (can be fraudsters) are sending lots of clicks but no conversions & blocking them may instantly make your campaigns profitable.

If you are serious about making mobile advertising work, you need a good mobile tracking system. iMobiTrax is the best

My advice, just do it and try your luck. I myself haven't make profit yet so far with these 2 networks, so I'm not sure what I can advice you.

It is a luck game, it depends on too much uncontrollable factors, be sure to use only disposable money.

It was an adult offer but wasnt allowed because of this. This is despite BZ allowing adult ads and me indicating such when setting up

Make an inquiry to them from your message box, I think you can get a refund.

If I am reading my stats rights - 32,290 impressions 87 clicks ctr average 0.27%
and one conversion

Thats according to Buzzcity, mobpartner is picking up more clicks

I was bidding low but now I am bidding $0.03 - $0.07
I am under bidding in one country

My aim is a CR of 3%

BTW if any one knows a good coach in this field let me know

Hey guys. first, Id like to say I have gotten some great info on this forum with David, Ihaveadream, and the rest of you... Thanks for all that! So I started using the Buzzcity/Mobpartner combo yesterday and ran a first campaign. Here are some results:

About 277k impressions in about total 7 countries
About 900 clicks
3 conversions (all in one country) also, 500/900 clicks in this country.
Used $20 in one days to find this out.
This is all using a stock banner they had.
I got the IP's and individual click info from Buzzcity.

Any thoughts from you guys on these results? I am going to try a new campaign tomorrow.

but I can't see the OS that the conversions came from:

I downloaded the CSV file but it only shows the phone agent, time... but it doesn't tell me which ones converted, it just shows who clicked:

Is there a way to pin down what is exactly converting so I can easily optimize or do I have to run split tests in the blind and figure out what really works by counting conversions and bleeding money?

I heard some Ad Networks like AirPush give you impressions based on the account balance you left or amount of your daily spent, you will only get a lot of traffic if you have lots of account balance or your daily spent is high ($1000+).

In my opinion, BuzzCity is more likely doing the same as AirPush. Because from what I tried, I get very little traffic even my bid is much higher than the recommended bid (you can see I mentioned this issue several times previously). However, I did not try to topup large amount of balance before to test this out so I can't be sure. But I think the approach make sense to maximize profit for the Ad Networks.

I do have a campaign in Germany running it has 20,868 impressions and 64 clicks 0.31%

Europe as a whole as a much wider andoid user base than the US
I myself and most people I know are on android

well my first 20$ deposit ran out today
I got one conversion at $1.50
so complete loss $18.50

Yesterday I ran an android camaign targeting SEA it got 90 clicks before I ran out of funds no conversions
I think I will try and stick with android and see how it goes

$50 of that 100 comes from a bing wap advert aimed at the US which I have cancelled
Most of the clicks from it didnt appear in Mob partner

according to buzcity my cpc is $0.035

On a day I had like 6 exposures with 64 clicks. How's that possible?

My stats for two different campaigns both CPI.
Running one for each day.
Only 1 conversion from 2nd campaign.
None for the first.
Both targeted at Asia Traffic.

I have been lurking around for a week or so (well for years this forum) to observe this hype about Buzzcity and Mobpartner and I think it's about time I contribute a little too.

FIRST OF ALL

"DavidAtias1 has been caught posting fake revenue screenshot in his wso - now closed - be careful guys." appeared in the original DavidAtias thread named [Mobile] CPA & Mobile PPC Success : $650.97 in the last 2 days

He is proven to be a fake and is officially on the run. Those in this forum claiming that they have been profitable with Mobpartner and Buzzcity combo are more than likely paid posters. User 'Mobpartner' who posted in the original David thread had a post count of 3 before disappearing.

I am surprised this is not being brought up in this thread.

I have also read the discussion on this in BHW and many other forums and people who have used Buzzcity have advised against it due to trashy traffic.

In this industry it's best to keep an open mind until tested and proven yourself, which was what I did. I put Buzzcity to a good test - spent $100 and split my test into hundreds of pieces. I tracked everything with Mobaff and analyzed every variation.

So far no success. In fact it has been really frustrating because the stats are not consistent. I would get 3 conversion for this particular campaign and 0 the next 2 days. Data seems to be all over the place too.

OF COURSE, it's not to say that it doesn't work, because after all Buzzcity has been around for a long time and there is a reason why that's the case - there are people paying them and lots of them! BUT, from my experience there is better quality traffic elsewhere that converts a lot better. Is Buzzcity worth the time? I don't know.

I may never come back to Buzzcity again once I have used up my remaining credit. At least that's the plan so far. In any case I will let you guys know if I ever make my first pot of gold from Buzz.

One more thing to ponder - WHO'S PAYING FAKE DAVID AND HIS MINIONS TO POST THE B.S?

Just my thoughts, without reading all the replies. Everyone is trying mobpartner and buzzcity, is it profitable? I'm sure it is. However now it's absolutely getting loaded up by everyone and their mother.

People are saying "spend hundreds to make profit" etc, could be true. I don't post a lot here, and it's definitely worth a read. However come on, remember one of the most important things - a lot of internet marketers make a living telling other internet marketers how to make a living.

I signed up, lost on Buzzcity like $40, scratched it off - moved to the next network, found three campaigns which required 10 usd adspend to become profitable. I now have 3 campaigns which I spend $10-15 max day for $40-100 profit/day.

It's possible to make a living off mobile or anything without spending a lot a day like some people say (oh you need a $1k budget.. is $500 enough for mobile??) etc threads.

I'll never divulge more information and neither would any other marketer without other intentions. The truth is, read these threads, take it in, find the networks, look how they work and their offers and think of a strategy. Replying asking for exact methods won't get you anywhere, why would anyone give it and make you their competition?

Trick is don't do what everyone use. Use it to inspire you. I don't make anywhere near most of the marketers on here or let alone half the companies there is an absolute gold mine in IM as long as you can break away from this routine of doing what everyone else does!

Maybe Justin Dupre should remember that not everyone on here has the budget to do the full amount of testing required to successfully write off or subsequently scale up a campaign.

Most of the people on here are on here because they want to know how to make it online in various niche areas. So even $100 is a bit rich for them.

So what youre saying is that if you invest $2k you can make money with any type of traffic source because that is the real point of this thread, the quality of the Buzzcity traffic.

Adding in my 2 cents here I tried out Buzzcity and found that even following the guidelines, and heeding the advice of the support guy about demographics and timings etc that I still havent made conversions, but more importantly, I have not even had impressions.

So, after following what customer support advised I have no impressions, what does that tell you about their skillset lol?

Personally, as this is an open forum, I wouldnt touch Buzzcity with a barge-pole.

I think the point of Justin's reply is that if you only have $100 or less, you shouldn't try to do media buy. For example I just spent $100 in the last hour to test one landing page variation among 3 different targets and 2 ad placements within these targets. Still I am not done with this part of testing (and I already had collected many stats split testing different ads, different landing pages, different offers, different CPA networks with these offers).
Just to tell you that there are so many variables to test with a given traffic source than to collect significant stats, you need that kind of investment ($2-3k at least).

This does not mean you will lose $2-3k as along the testing you'll get conversions of course. But you won't be able to ramp up the campaign until you've completed all the tests.

With low budget, you would be better create a landing page, grabbing a PLR report and buy some leads from solo ads to get the ball rolling. Growing your list, promoting CPA offer, getting some cash, buying more traffic / leads and so on...
