Landing Page vs Direct Link to Offer (CPA)

Hello guys,

I am here to ask a question again...

I have read around that having an LP have some pros and cons...

Can you guys elaborate more?

From my own point of view... if I am the user who clicked on an ad... and I get to see a landing page and have to click again to do an action is a bit extra work... and might make me stop from the landing page and close the page.

I already know a few pros about landing page: like you control multiple offers.. and landing page is needed for Adwords and etc... however, it is still an extra work from an interested party (visitor) right?

It is also obvious, that having a landing page can really cut your visitors to a very interested visitor from the a visitor who just liked the ad and clicked on it.

What do you guys think?

You need to look at the landing page as a preseller page, meaning once they click your ad you know they're intrigued, the next page(your page) should be what sells them on the offer so when they hit the actual LP they're already convinced and heading towards the "sign me up" or whatever it is button.

Then again the argument of LP vs Direct Link is really based on other factors like (country, offer, conversion flow). In some countries mobile offers I run have stable and high ROI's with just direct linking but other countries where I know the offers run better with a LP(a good AM usually can recommend which way works better) 9/10 times having one will outperform direct linking.

The great thing about buying traffic is you can come up with a theory and then go out and immediately test it and come up with a conclusion. Go out there and test some offers, test with LP's and direct linking and see which outperforms the other. You'll eventually start noticing trends and from there you'll start to know what works best for different types of offers/traffic sources.

A landing page is key for pitching the offer to the consumer, most offers will need a landing page to convert, or convert better with a good landing page.

If you want to be successful in CPA or Affiliate Marketing, it is very key you master landing pages. You will have to learn to make them yourself, since anyone who can make successful landing page isn't selling them... they are using to make money from CPA, and would rather use them their selves. People who sell landing pages via services like Fiverr ect, make simple pages that rarely ever convert. Since they are just web designer, not marketers.

What would be your best suggesting for making good / not too expensive landing/squeeze pages? I have seen some programs that provide you one to promote their affiliate offer in the IM niche but aht is not what I am looking for. I would like to get some set up for other niches, and not just for CPA offers. Any suggestions?

So when you make your landing pages do you use tools like Kompozer or are there better ones out there?

Also I have seen some CPA marketers taking the advertisers landing page and creating their own with a tweak or two, like adding some benefits or different images etc. What types of tools do these people use to "copy" the advertisers LP's and adapt them for their own landing page, prior to sending onto the offer.

The reason for landing pages is to help sell the person on filling out the offer, a metaphor I've heard a lot lately is think of your offer as a car lot, people visit car lots and sometimes buy.. think of your landing page as a car salesman.. it's an extra step to buy the car, but the right salesmen can dramatically increase sales.

Taking a week to learn HTML and CSS and start making them yourself.
