Content Creation Services: Post-Panda Update
- ARTICLES |
- Diamond Level - When EZA (ezinearticles) recently rolled out their "diamond level" at their site, there was quite a reaction from the thousands of writers who publish there. After the dust settled, many top notch content creators found themselves with a coveted diamond level status because of the quality of their content. If EZA and other article directories are this concerned about quality of content, shouldn't you be even more concerned for your money site? If you are going to outsource your content, go with the very best. Anything else is just throwing your money away pointlessly.
- Panda Aware - Another question to ask the team or company (or individual) working on your content is whether they know about the Panda update and what they think about it. What you are after is whether or not they realize that quality of content is even more important in a post-Panda world. If they haven't heard of the Panda update, just make sure they know that you are going to need better content from them.
- Value and Price - Sure, you can get 10,000 words from some content creation teams for a measly $100, but what if that content doesn't make you any money? What if it actually helps tag your site as "low quality" Panda food? Wouldn't it be better to spend $100 on 2500 or so words that will actually make you money? Whether it is good sales copy for your landing page or high quality articles that will ATTRACT NATURAL LINKS (the most valuable kind of links that exist), paying a little more for content is almost a necessity in the post-Panda world. Try to concentrate more on VALUE rather than just PRICE.
- More is More - If you were pumping out 250 word articles, start making them 400 words at least. If you were writing 300 word articles for publication, bump them up to 400 or more. If you were buying 500 word articles to publish, why not merge a few to get one good, solid 1,000 word piece instead? Post-panda, you want to increase the size of your posts as this is good Panda food.
- Less is More - Related to the last point, if you can merge three or four "articles" that aren't performing well into one super post that performs well, won't you be better off? Sometimes publishers get stuck in the mindset that they have to have more and more pages in the index. This is good, of course, but the quality of those pages in the index is even more important. For future articles, try merging two or three similarly themed topics into one mega-article that is truly a definitive resource. For older articles, find two or three based around a theme and merge them into one source of information.
