We all hear stories about duplicated content,
Don't do it Don't do it!
Because Google will penalize you. Well I have done a lot of research for myself because I wanted to know if this was true or not.
If I have written an article and then publish it to multiple directories... Will I get penalized? I have learnt the following:
The Rumours/Stories are not accurate!!
I have experimented a lot with sites of my own and I have discovered the following:
Google will only rank the content (eg your article) once.
Practically, what does this mean?
I will explain by way of instructions on how to do it right:
1 Write an article.
2 Upload it onto your site using keywords in the page title and URL for your article.
3 Create and Submit an XML Sitemap to the Major search engines.
4 Check (in a few days) that your article page is indexed.
5 Once it is indexed, you now have the SEO credit for the article and you can now submit it to as many article directories as you wish.
It really is that simple!
