The Best AI For Content Writing Right Now

I just conducted a few tests on content writing using AI (also used Surfer a bit for an outline and important keywords).

My findings were as follows:

Chatgpt - GPT4o was definitely the best version to use. It surprised me how much better 4o was than 4. Overall good value for money and fast churning out content too. On Surfer the content came out with high scores (80+) too so I didn't need to do much tweaking afterwards.

Claude-3.5 Sonnet - Perhaps marginally better than chatgpt4o but not much in it. Good quality content but slower for output, which on single articles is fine but if you're making mass content it adds up. Good value too. However, it scored the lowest on Surfer (70+) which meant I needed to do work on the articles before I could post them.

LLAMA3-70b (GROQ) - Still produced decent content but not as good as the other 2 for sure. One thing I would say though is that it seems to be free even using the API which I was surprised by! For value for money it has to be the winner because there was zero cost but on quality its in third place.

Curious to know what people are favouring right now and how you're using content writing AI?

Thank you for the interesting post.

    I've found perplexity.ai isn't too bad...and Gemini is good.

Overall, I think it comes down to how you prompt?

I'm not an expert in AI by any means...

but I do read The Neuron and there's a ton of stuff about AI. It's my secret site I use to catch up on all things AI.

I'm not affiliated with it, but if anyone googles 'the neuron' there are a ton of articles in their archive that are interesting.

I think it's one of the most interesting sites about AI that I've found.

I've tried Gemini, but from time to time it gives me a lot of mistakes. Then it apologizes and shows me the right answer. How is that possible?

I prefer ChatGPT 4o also. I use it daily for all sorts of things,
it is a time-saver and makes me more productive.

Gemini creates great written content as well. I like it because
it interacts with me more than ChatGPT, like it will try to assign
me tasks, which I don't have time for.

I have also been using an A.I. system that creates articles and
blog posts with written content and images. You can choose
which A.I. language model it uses and the output is amazing.

I use a separate image generator so if I had to choose one of
the above it would be ChatGPT.

I could manage without the others but it's nice to have them all.

Thanks for this. I haven't used Gemini at all, although I notice that Google now delivers an AI summary at the top of the SERPs, seems like no website will ever get traffic again if this continues!

I get it. GPT-4 is great for brainstorming ideas, but your personal touch really makes the content shine.

I use Frase but find Surfer to be better in most cases. For the price though Frase is definitely better value!

In my opinion AI tools should be used to generate idea in order to write more unique high quality content. In the end of the day AI is still machine not a human so human efforts should always be a part of it.

Yes, AI is not there yet where it can do 100% of the process. The trick is to get as close to 100% as possible without sacrificing the quality of the content, right?

Both Claude Sonnet 3.5 and OpenAI GPT-4o are on about the same level. However, GPT-4o mini has a huge advantage - its API cost is very low.

Great topic, thanks. I was using Jarvis 3 years ago and we produced some great projects. However, I haven't used it for 1.5 years. It was too expensive. I think they lowered the prices now.

Not a "model" but a tool that incorporates all of the best AI models (with a BYOK system) is ZimmWriter.

It is a completely amazing tool, and listing everything it does would take an age to type out here. But here's a precis...

The output quality is amazingly good but there is far more to it.

You can pick a niche and it will generate niche ideas for you (including ideal domain names and sub categories). You plug that information into it's AI Topical Authority Generator. This will create a CSV with topical clusters, long tail keywords and article titles related to them - up to 1000 of these.

You then put the info into it's bulk writer where you get a huge choice of which model to use, nuking "AI phrases", Adding key takeaways, enabling/disabling things like FAQs, conclusions, whether you want big or skinny paragraphs plus all of the different "voices" you can choose from. Plus loads more.

It will then write these articles and even generate AI images at the same time.

All of this can be automated so it will upload everything (inc featured image and other images for the artices) to your Wordpress blog (eithe as published, draft or scheduled).

In addition to all of this it will create and schedule Pinterest pins now as well.

If this wasn't all enough, it is an AI tool that you can use anywhere. I could use it while typing in here, I could use it in a Word doc. I could use it anywhere where I type using "magic commands".

It is the best tool I have ever used for content creation and is being updated on an impressive way every single month.

I keep making videos of me using it for my audience but as soon as I do, another cool feature is added! Nice problem to have!

I tested several AIs for content writing, pairing them with Surfer for SEO. ChatGPT GPT-4 Turbo (4o) came out on top, offering fast, high-quality content with minimal tweaking needed. Surfer scores were consistently 80+, making it great for efficient production. Claude 3.5 Sonnet was slightly better in content quality but slower and scored lower on Surfer (70+), requiring more editing. LLAMA3-70b (GROQ) produced decent content and is free via API, making it unbeatable in terms of cost, though quality was lower. GPT-4 Turbo is the best overall for value and performance.
