Hi, @Junior Albeiro. I suggest you can start your email marketing using MailChimp. You can customize your own email so that it would feel personalized rather than a generic one.

Mailchimp is often the first suggestion - because there's a free option. Much better to go with AWeber or GetResponse, etc. Go to those sites and read what they have to offer. You mention "leads" but there's a bit more to it.

My advice - Do NOT use Mailchimp when you are promoting affiliate products. Their TOS prohibits affiliate marketing. They do enforce it, too.

What you need to do first is check out some threads in the 'email' section of this forum - use the forum search to find threads about STARTING an email list. It's a good way to start out - so learn about it - get a landing page or site/blog going and build that list.

Yep definitely a big NO NO with Mail Chimp. They prohibit both affiliate offers and MMO offers too keep in mind. Basically you are good if you use just about any other EMS. But still be careful and read their TOS's. Personally I use Get Response but there are a million of them out there. Check around. As for sending them yourself, you are looking at a lot more head ache than what it's worth in my opinion.

That's my take on it for whatever it's worth anyway.

No do not send them from gmail. Subscribe to an auto responder such as AWeber or getresponse. Then build your list.

Yes Aweber is best as you can include affiliate links but Mailchimp could ban you as they do not allow affiliate links.

Aweber costs from around $19 per month but if you are already making money it could be a good investment as people often will not purchase something until they have seen if seven times on average - with an email campaign you can send out several emails for the same product so that your list will be familiar with them - and purchase them.

Hi. How did you acquire the leads? I think autoresponders services like Get Response and Aweber may not allow you to enter the email addresses into the autoresponder without having the leads subscribe directly to your list.

I know autoresponder services like IContact allows you to enter leads into their autoresponders manually without subscription.

Hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong.

  • AWeber and Getresponse both aloe you to manually put emails into your list. You are limited (like 10 or so) but it can be done.

I would use an autoreaponder. I left MailChimp because of the affiliate link restrictions. You can work around it but it is just another step.

I chose GetResponse and am happy with it.

By setting up an autoreaponder you can start to put part of your business on autopilot. This is why email marketing is so great. They opt-it to you list and begin to receive emails from you that you already have in place.

Check with the company of your affiliate products. They often have email templates for you to use so you don't have to come up with the copy yourself.
