Need help with my first campaign

Hi Warriors
I need a piece of advice. I just started my first campaign yesterday through a well known adnetwork promoting a dating website. Since yesterday I received 250.000 impressions 524 clicks that is 20% CTR and it cost me $24. Today I optimised the banners and I removed banners which had no clicks and so far I received 75 000 impressions & 145 clicks with a cost of $6 From those 673 click only 5 registered and none purchased. Since yesterday i only received 5 registrations and no paid user!
What I should do next ? Shall I keep the campaign running even with 5 registrations despite the fact that the campaign is running for only one day?Any other advice is welcome

which ad network you are use bro.
and i suggest you cancel the campaign and review it again coz people can't buy a product when they got a free use it. like in my campaign some time i promote those product who has a free to use 30 day trial after over the trial period 100 of 2 people actually buy the product.
I highly suggest you that you choose a right product and create a good campaign so you got better converssion.
Have a nice campaign to you i request god to they help you

This is very little information to give any valuable feedback or advice.

The CTR seems very good, and the CPC seems extremely cheap. But, there could be many factors that influence that.

Some questions, to be able to help you:
    - How many ads are you testing?
    - How many landing pages?
    - How many websites/placements did those impressions come from?
    - What's your target CPL/CPA/CPS?

Spending $30 total (from what I can tell), over 2 days is not NEARLY enough to make any statistically significant deductions.

5 regs for $24 is not too bad at all in the dating industry, depending on the target country. Considering it's just been running for 2 days...

      Hi mr22,

      Thank you for your assistance,

I am testing in total of 10 different ads which are driving directly traffic to the website without using a landing page. (Do you think that i should use a landing page first ?). My payout is Rev Share 40% smallest package is €10.

The impressions came from 10 websites. The reason that i cut out some ads was because they were receiving very few impressions or 0 impressions at all.

In order to give an accurate assessment I'd need to know what the payout amount is of your offer. If you can supply that, we can see if the amount your spending is worth the potential Return of Investment. If you can tell us how much you will make on each conversion, as new metrics come in, we can determine if your strategy is actually worth it.

As of right now what we do know is that you have 673 clicks on 5 registered members. Thats converting at 0.74%. For future reference if you do not have a link tracker your can use a free online calculator to do your conversion metrics. (Percentage Calculator)

Now whether or not thats a good conversion rate will depend on how many people sign up over the next couple of days, AND how much you get paid for a conversion.

Keep in mind, that just because 5 registered and none converted TODAY, that doesn't mean those registrations won't eventually convert. I've had some campaigns give a conversion 3 weeks after sending the traffic!

If you can tell me specifics about your vertical, like payout, traffic source, and to a certain extent the network, I can be of some help.

Your Adnetwork will provide you with informations on the offer you are promoting like EPC, CR and payouts so use those info to calculate your ROI and decide if your campaign is worth keeping or taken down

Correct, but always keep in mind that AD Networks often average up the EPC's of their top earning affiliates in order to find conversion rates of a vertical.

This can sometimes be misleading, especially to new marketers.

The Ad Network wants to appear as fruitful as possible to publishers. However, in general higher reported EPC's does indicate better verticals...

With their email IDs on your reach, you can always make your sales in future without having to purchase an add placement again.

  • The CPC is cheap but the opt-in rate is really bad (5/673=0.74%). If the clicks are genuine, then you should seriously look into how to improve your opt-in page.
