Http and Https duplicate content

BEGINNERS AREA

Ive just been told i have 'no redirect' for http and https, after a bit of googling i kind of understand whats happened, but not fully.

Its my first website, so its still a big learning curve for me. However, i'm fully aware of the SEO issues this causes by apparent duplicate content.

I need help basically, im not sure exactly what i need to do, and thats even after some google searching.

Can someone break this down for a newb?

Ive just found a plug in called 'force https' that will apparently fix all this for me. So just an update for anyone with the same issue, you could try this.
