Start by learning to use the search function on this forum and then you can look various aspects of digital marketering.

The forum doesn't recommend courses and books but many have been reviewed here or commented on. Use the 'advanced search' to find discussions of the most common 'how to get started' threads.

I'd say go onto youtube and search. Study study study.

Maybe find someone you resonate with and look at what he/she is doing. Not just SAYING but doing.

It also depends on the platform you want to use though, which niche and sub-niche you're involved with and what your final goals are.

I personally wanted to do affilitate marketing, studied some people on youtube, bought some 13$ courses and took it away from there.

Probably my most favorite thread in recent months: https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...bscribers.html Mick is going through step by step how he is "Growing" and its interesting to watch ( I find it interesting anyways ) There is no fluff.. and you can get an idea that the path to success is actually one that requires work ( imagine that ) with so many offers saying start today make billions tomorrow... And Micks is a live and living demonstration of the time needed to make it, and what it takes to get there.

    My 2 cents anyways

One of the best pieces of advice I would give a Newbie is to Start at the End.

There is a post by a Warrior that goes something like "Quitting Internet Marketing after 11 years"...that is totally outrageous if you are hanging out at the Worlds or one of the worlds most popular Internet Marketing Forums.

I ask myself OK it happens but how can it be avoided? ONE WAY is to take a Visit to Flippa or several other Auctions Websites and take your time and truly absorb what you see on a SOLD auction. Check out the Sellers Notes and all his uploaded Docs of Proof.

You can be reading thread after thread on forums or you could be reading how someone set up a real business or the makings of one with details on how they did it how it was monetized where the traffic came from how it grew how fast it grew and how much money it made. And a ton of other helpful details.

You also get to see comments....what investors concerns are etc.

THEN...you come back here and you ask questions to get you to that position where you have an Asset that has appeal to others who may want to invest in it whether you sell it or not you are sitting pretty.

If you spent your time doing this one thing, unfortunately hundreds of other guys/gals will still be in exactly the same scenario this time next year but you would have a growing real business.

This place is an info factory and overwhelm and overload can happen very easily. People think they are internet marketing because the Warrior Forum window is open on their computer.

Do not get wrapped up in Speed. Sales Copy wants you to. Think of the Rabbit and the Turtle who won the race just by staying the course focused on the Finish.

If you need money like yesterday there is a solution.

    Affiliate.Or promote tools/provide services

You are not an info product creator yet maybe but find someone that is and doing well at it and promote for them. And guess what, what if you had questions on promoting do you think they will take the time to assist you in making them money? Good chance they will not a guarantee tho ha.

Welcome all newbies and make every day count take one step to where you want to be and you will get there.

    Motivated to do WHAT EXACTLY?

WHY do you want to learn "something" about Digital Marketing, for what end purpose?

At the bottom of this page, most days is a FREE report, one of several you will find about Digital Marketing. On the forum is a post by Gab, here is a link to it, re: glossary, a good place to start too.

    https://bit.ly/2UDa8QN

IF you are like most new Warriors you are looking for a way to CASH in, and make money with Digital/Internet marketing.

Here is the simple version: You have to sell SOMETHING to SOMEONE and exchange value (money).

Many newbies have nothing to sell, so they offer something that someone has, as in affiliate marketing, eCom, or on a commission.

Re: the SOMEONE to sell IT to...that is TRAFFIC, targeted eyeballs who would have an interest in your something. A skill in itself. All advertising, is about getting the right kind of eyeballs on your offer, the something they might want.

So you need something to sell, and someone to buy.

All the pieces, parts and methods get reduced down to those two things.

You BEGIN, or start, with where you are at, with what you have, and you set a goal, to what you WANT, where you want to go, and you figure it out keeping the TWO things in your mind at all times.

So, what do you have of value? What will you offer? To whom? How will you exchange the value? What is the TRANSACTION model?

Sorry, don't have your answers, but you may find them in YOUR answers to these questions.

Learning is important, but taking action is king.

Find something you like, love, or have passion around. Perhaps it's a skill you have from work, perhaps is a hobby you enjoy, or perhaps there is something you've been wanting to do or try. Just choose a niche your love, not because you think you can make a lot of money. The money is not in the niche, it's in you.

Once you choose a niche, start blogging about it. Establish yourself as the go to blog. It's easier to monetize when you provide value.

Once you provide valuable content, you can focus on ONE form of traffic. Become an expert with it. Then you can branch out to something else and conquer that. Etc.

First thing to realize is there is not just a single way to make money online. There are lots of ways.

They all revolve around bringing traffic to a conversion tool.

Just like making money worked before the Internet.

Before, you brought readers (traffic) to a newspaper ad (conversion). Some of those readers became buyers.

Now, you bring a certain kind of Facebook users (traffic) to a webpage with a sales letter on it (conversion.) Some of those visitors become buyers.

There are lots of ways to complicate this up, with autoresponders, video, live and pre-recorded webinars, programming and so on, but that's the essence of it.

Right now you're researching. Imagine yourself walking around with a bucket. "Oh, this looks good." You pick a thing up and put it in the bucket. You do this a hundred times.

Not everything you put in your bucket will be necessary.

Some of it won't be personally appealing to you after you get more inundated with this stuff.

    Pick ONE method.

Pick ONE traffic source. Learn it. Learn how to drive qualified leads from it.

Pick ONE conversion method. Develop your skill in how to turn some of those qualified leads from the traffic source into buyers.

Realize it's YOU that's the success source...not the shiny object.

The people who don't commit, who hop from thing to thing, are the people who "Quit after 11 years."

Most effort does not last beyond three days. That's how long it takes the average person to give up, because they based their hope on the shiny object and not themselves.

Another Great Free Learning University is Income Statements.

Marketers show you exactly what they are making, what programs, how they are promoting, where they are promoting heck Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income shares that the Program doubles his commissions payout amount more than once! Some may not have even realized they even do that.

So you not getting theory you are seeing someone making a great living online and showing you the way. People totally ignore it. Mind boggling.

We sometimes do not take people seriously seeing someone with meager earnings and just starting out then you come back and it is 20x that amount because they just kept plugging away each month.

I am strong advocate of Sell Something Soon as Possible. Because that feeling that is what is going to keep you in the game and jumping out of bed each day to learn more give more value and experience even more success.

I remember back in the day I just threw up a "Squidoo Lens" one page Product Review in minutes of a New Software Launch then bookmarked it and made a sale that was paying me monthly! Blew me away.

It takes a bit more effort these days but still possible.

No need to wake up and say I need money how am I going to make money.

Try, people got problems and they got credit cards and willing to pay for a solution how can I put myself in front of them with a solution.

So first off, don't consume content from multiple sources, it will confuse you.

You can find a mentor and do exactly what they say, or join a program, learn it inside and out, and stay with it.

Step #1 is traffic. Without it you have nothing.

Once you figure out how to drive targeted traffic, you need somewhere to drive it.

Step #2 is a sales funnel that converts that traffic into subscribers and buyers and repeat buyers.

If you must buy courses (Google search is still free) then buy how-to traffic information. One of the best things I ever did was learning PPC from Perry Marshall.

In a nutshell - Learn how to generate targeted traffic and convert it into buyers.

One of the beauties of IM and drawbacks for newbies is there is no ONE way. At some point, you have to figure it out enough to make it work your way, or not.

You need to study about Digital Marketing?
    What is Digital Marketing?
You have registered on any site. And the site will give you a referral link for their profit. Now, if someone uses your referral link to register on that site, if he buy a product or download a file then you get the money in exchange for it, this is digital affiliate marketing.
What's the way of Affiliate marketing can be done :-

    # By selling products :

    # To start affiliate marketing :-

When your blog or site starts to get good traffic, you can convert these traffic into sells and earn thousands of dollars. Through which you can earn your desired income. Fortunately, the Internet is a huge database for marketing the right product for the visitor. Take a look at Affiliate Marketing's overlay plans which I have always followed.
    * Product Researchers (choose the desired Efficient Products)
    * Keyword Research (Targeted Consumers Product from Search Engine Selects Base Keyword)
    * Blog or web site ready (creating search engine friendly blog or web site)
    * Writing product reviews (to encourage customers to purchase goods by writing and Displaying the product to the customer)
    * Target traffic to the site (bring targeted traffic through SEO, SMS etc.)

At first glance these words do not seem as powerful as they really are.

Searching and learning. Do not just learn from what you are being preached.

Learn from what made you want to pull out your own Credit card and pull the trigger.

That is a whole free university to learn from the sales page, the copy writing the sequences that got you to feeling comfortable to purchase. The Webinar that got you excited...this is all learning lessons on what you should also implement into your business.

Sometimes take notes not what experts are suggesting you to do but what THEY are actually doing to get you to a desired action.

Blogging takes a while to build traffic but if you consistantly post most days you will eventually start getting good targeted traffic

To get good targeted traffic on facebook you need to be interacting with people. This is because fb has programed their algorithm to use Signals That Heavily Favor Active Interactions such as comments and likes, so when you post on your facebook timeline, it doesnt matter whether you have 5 or 5000 friends, if no one has liked or commented on that post very few people will see it.

FB ads are definitely the way to go for paid ads, not only because of the amount of members but because you can fine tune their ads for very specific targeting

Do not go for paid courses in the beginning. Learn the basics from free sources such as blogs, youtube videos, free courses on edx, udemy, etc.

Since you are beginning, you will find a lot of simple things you can implement. Make sure you implement and check yourself doing right. By doing this, you will be open to absorbing new stuff and can avoid revolving around the same basic topics.

For example, you might have to create a facebook page and gain followers in order to observe the page insights. Just do it when you come across the information. So, that next time you can start learning about how to analyze and optimize the data insights.

In this way, you can master the basics from free resources itself. Later, you can take up advanced courses to upgrade your knowledge whenever required.

I believe getting traffic is the biggest problem for online marketers because no matter how good your product is, if your not getting any traffic its not going to sell.

Google is the most used search engine but it is extremely hard to get lots of organic traffic for good keywords unless you spend lots on SEO and when you use less competitive key words, you usually get lower quality traffic.

    I would start with Youtube.

Just go there and find someone who you resonate with who has real results and makes REAL money (not just talking about "how to make money online" while having $10 in the bank account)

Then I would watch their videos, take notes and start executing. (Good)
or I would buy their course/mentorship and start executing. (Better)

But remember, there is no way to make money fast. If you want to make money fast then get a job and have fixed wage so you're sure you get paid

In the online world you put weeks/months/years of work to build assets that will pay years to come!

    Hopefully that helps

I suggest a different solution here. As everyone suggests there is a lot of learning platforms and a lot of learning to do.

But whatever you learn, and how much you learn it is a never-ending process.
Just start by creating business accounts in social platforms yourself and try to add contents like (Texts, images or videos) then you will find a promote button eventually for that post. Click it explore them, they are very very very very easy to understand. Start right away from the hands-on experience and you can use all the other suggested tips for learning while you get stuck at a place.
