To prove that anyone can succeed online if they're willing to put in the work (instead of buying get rich quick scams), I've created this thread for you.

Strictly ONLY white-hat techniques.

This is the no-holes-barred truth about growing a presence on the Internet, and as you'll see it takes a LOT of persistence.

If you're currently looking for the "shortcut" or that "magic button"... it's time to stop because it doesn't exist.

Yes, a lot of people will tell you it does, and then take your money to show you - especially on the Warrior Forum.

You've probably been burnt by them before.

So I'm here to show you the facts. Put your wallet away.

You see, I've already built a successful website outside of the IM niche, so I don't need or want to charge you for this stuff.

Hopefully this process will show you that EVERYONE has to start at the same place (at zero)... and work their way up.

So here's one of my vids to give you an idea of what I do:

FACT: Video marketing is the future of Internet marketing

But most people, even some professional marketers, are confused by video marketing.

So watch how I grow a Youtube Channel from nothing, to 10,000 subscribers in the most competitive niche on the planet, and how you can follow along and copy me.

No silly loopholes
(that will eventually close, leaving you high and dry)

No stupid hacks
(that put your account, and hard work, at risk)

Just a solid, straight up strategy that's consistently proven to work.

This is my Youtube Channel (you might like it) - so verify that it's real, and the audience is engaged and growing at a steady rate.

Background...

My mission was originally to complete a 90 day content marketing challenge. You can see the results below.

But following on from that, my mission then became to build an audience through delivering maximum value to them.

THE RESULTS: 90 Day Content Challenge: 1 Piece of Content Everyday For 90 Days

I have just completed a 90 Day Content Challenge, creating one piece of content every day, for 90 days.

For your benefit, I am being completely transparent and taking you inside the actual analytics.

My Youtube Channel is about digital marketing; traffic generation strategies, conversion optimization and copywriting.

So you can verify that I'm really doing this, here is the Youtube Channel.

This is one of my best videos...

      Good question.

Every video will be transcribed and turned into a daily blog post.

The audio will be extracted and turned into a daily podcast.

Every 90 days blog posts compiled by topic and turned into lead magnets, for every topic I cover.

Yes, this is a good system- Tripling your content, thereby getting more subscribers, backlinks, among other benefits.

          Nice work Mick.

I use Rev for transcriptions. They charge $1 per minute and can cope with any accent

Also do other services but they are quick and very accurate on the transcription front.

I used them for exactly what you are doing and you can always put the content together into Kindle for extra reach.

If you want to go to the next level if you also record hi-def video you can put out a DVD series - use Kunaki - $1.10 US per DVD - up to 5 copies. On demand and you can create a sales page inside their platform with auto shipping for free. Takes a bit of work but once you have the flow worked out it is set and forget.

You can promote boxed sets of the content - auto ship. Easy and profitable.

Little secret - you can add an insert inside the DVD cover all you have to do is design it and upload to Kunaki. Then you drive traffic from your DVD to a membership or auto fulfilment where they get every new DVD for $XXX.

This is so easy once you get it going and 1 DVD produced on demand and delivered US for like $5.50 and 12 odd world wide you can work with that.

We do 5 DVD packs to stay on the cheapest production costs and those run at average of $16.50 delivered.

After that you can put the DVD content onto Amazon and cross link the kindles to the DVDs etc.

          Hopefully some food for thought.

          Best regards,

          Ozi

            DO I HAVE AN ACCENT?!?

We used to use Kunkai in exactly the way you describe for my TV show (not as exciting as it sounds), and ship boxsets through them.

Never once had a problem, and loved the automation of it.

A good strategy here. But I thought it should start with content and then turn it into the video. Don't you think it is a little bit difficult to start with video before converting it into the content? Either way, it allows one to tap on both video and content traffic?

Nope but you do what's right for you. If writing it out first is easier for you then do that.

It's easier for me to talk to a camera and pay someone to turn it into a blog post.

      Each video will be repurposed.

So for every 1 piece of content I create, I will eventually have at least 3 pieces of content to use.

This gives me X3 more exposure and reach, across different platforms.

      I started with videos.

However, I'm now producing 1 video a day, 1 blog post a day, and 1 podcast a day.

I might make another Warrior Path thread for the blog posts, and the podcasts, or keep everything in this thread. Not sure which is best.

Here's how I've layered it, by slowing introducing another column of my content marketing strategy.

Nov 22 starts with daily videos
Jan 2 introduces daily blog posts
      March 1 introduces daily podcasts

Once I got comfortable with making videos every day, I threw in blog posts. When I got comfortable with that, I threw in podcasting.

      JOURNAL UPDATE: 12/03/18

I've currently got 12 days to go, and planing my strategy once this challenge finishes.

Today, I want this to be over. I've got the flu and it's one of the hardest days so far.

During this challenge I've gone through Christmas Day, and New Years Day, which took a lot of discipline, but today is tough. I just want sleep.

Despite that, I've shot today's video. Now for the blog post, and podcast, hopefully.

I admire you for your effort in this.. You are not doing "A Piece" of content every day, you are doing 3... A drain unto itself.

Something I have learned over the years.. "the grind" is just that, THE GRIND. and day in and day out, IT WILL take its toll. Your body will FORCE a break when its needed. Some might go so far as to say that it is your inner self ( the little destructive monster on your shoulder ) that is at play and trying to break your success. I truly believe, THE GRIND has simply ground you down, and you need a day.

So with that... When you are in the sweet spot, and THE GRIND is effortless, push that little extra.. and create an additional video.. the next day create the matching additional blog, and the day after the matching podcast.. once or twice a week, you can have material in the can for days like today.

When I am starting a project and go on runs like you are doing.. I will actually start with a 5 to 7 day backlog before I actually start the 30 days.. its creates a buffer, drops the stress level, and makes the whole creative experience a bit more pleasuable. A day away, is just that A DAY AWAY, and sometimes its needed.

Hope you feel better, and keep up the great work!

        JOURNAL UPDATE: 14/03/18

My last full-day off was on the 19th of Nov, 2017... and I've slowly ramped up my output from there, over the 3 months.

New pieces of daily content have only been added to my routine once I'm comfortable with the previous addition.

The experiment has been worthwhile, and I've learned a lot about myself, my strengths and my weaknesses.

        Discipline is my friend.

For creating content my sweet spot is 3 pieces of content per day, Mon-Fri.

That's when it's the most fun, and most productive. I'm loving the experiencing.

I always believed that "I never switch off" when it comes to this stuff... but this experience has shown me that I NEED to switch off, sometimes...

Gimme 1 or 2 days off a month and I'm good.

      Kind of.

I think Youtube doesn't like it when a video ends a session (sending traffic away from Youtube).

For that reason I mention my website, but don't give a direct call to action to sign up to my list on every video.

I'm noticing a difference between the traffic that comes organically via Youtube, and traffic that comes from adverts.

Generally, organic traffic is way cooler, more into what I'm doing, and more supportive.

Because Youtube subscribers get email notifications when I upload, it kinda acts like an email list... with the obvious limitations.

...And I will respond to the other awesome comments when I get a bit more time

It just goes to show the results you can achieve if you put in the work. Hard work might be slow in the beginning, but it pays off long term.

Building a business a profitable business takes time. Building a YouTube channel takes time. Building an email list takes time. This is why you have to put in the time.

Put in the time now to have the life you want later. Looking forward to following your growth.

I get that from you... It was more a point that with work, reaching the new limits is far from out of reach.. and your latest post proves that.

But its kinda case and point to this thread in general... you are focusing on the PROCESS and not so concerned with the outcome.. a far cry from the other threads in this section.

YOU are a glaring example of "THE GRIND" and the type of success that can be had, by doing so. I commend you greatly for this thread and your obvious work ethic.

Whats really key here... Your growth may be " Slow " but it is spread across 4 or 5 platforms.. Insta? YT, Podcast, Blog, and I am sure an email list. Slow growth across all of that.. and its no longer so slow. You are grinding smarter, not harder. You are showinig the REAL work that is involved in success. Without question you are building something that will last.

What kind of setup are you using..like webcam and other software for one to achieve the same?

Also, have you tried selling anything to your list now that you have more than 900 subscribers?

This looks quite interesting so far. Keep us posted. I would like to know a couple of things:

    1. What kind of promotions have you done to get views to your videos? Have you done any kind of advertising, SEO, backlinking etc or did you just focus on creating informative content and the videos started generating interest by themselves?

    2. Did you try to monetize the traffic in any way? If so, were you able to generate any sort of income or profits for all your efforts so far?

      Will do!

      1. No promotion beyond posting to my blog, Fb group, and emailing my list.

      2. Yes, I'm generating income, however my focus isn't completely on monetization because I already have online businesses (I use these videos to show what's working in those).

Think about the growth for a moment... it took you how long to get the first 200? then we know it took you 5.5 months to get the next 800.. and then you crushed 200 in a single month. thats 20% overall growth in one month..and since you started this thread a 33% increase in growth month over month based on previous 5.5 months average.

Thats Growth Man... thats SERIOUS growth

This thread is a glaring example of what consistent work can do.. what the GRIND can do... its not filled with quirky growth hacks and other non sense that appears to be a short cut.... put in the work.. provide solid content, and GET RESULTS.

Do more of what your audience wants.

Sounds simple, but finding out what they want is difficult, it takes time and a lot of testing.

There's nobody to ask, in the beginning.

We only find out what works retroactively once there's enough data. It's a pain in the arse.

Then there's no one to give more of what they want, to. :-)

Yeah. This doesn't sound like a very fruitful exercise.

Still, isn't there a base set of what everyone wants that's subscribing to a channel on a specific topic. This can't be rocket science to ascertain. Isn't part of, "Knowing your audience and what they want," based around the audience you are working to attract.

This seems to be a 'chicken or egg' conundrum. With that in mind, I congratulate you on whatever success you are having.

BTW - you may not believe this, but I have watched many of your videos. (I have no life). You present yourself and your ideas, well. Lots of energy and enthusiasm. Good stuff.

                Cheers.

          The pleasure was mine dude.

I have to say this... anyone reading this... do you need marketing laid out step by step in the order of an hours long live stream running through a foundational process? you need to get over to youtube and start watching Michaels videos.. get on his list, and when he announces another premier stream.... block out what was it 3 4 hours? and straight up take notes.

I sound like a Michael fan boy.. over and over I say WTG.. but the truth is i am a fan boy of the GRIND and anyone that is beyond willing to share it, and Michael is that guy! Success is a byproduct of action, and this thread shows that action and the rewards. And he is literally sharing day in and day out THE PROCESS, the PROVEN process to becoming successful.

But I dont GRIND for myself as much as I do clients - and the grinding I do do personally is at a different level. plus that videos on making content day in and day out would get boring LOL - Looks WAY to much like work!

The reason I am on your mailing list.. the reason I watch your videos.. the reason when i can will go hang out on your live stream is becasue this thread has proven you are successful at what you do - and success breeds success. The time I spend consuming your content has paid for itself 10 fold. i have learned a trick or 2 - and you and I have been doing this for about the same amount of time. - hard to teach an old dog new tricks

So for those that are starting out.. dude.. I will personally testify you are a cornicopia of knowledge and you are laying it out in a step by step here is what I use, this is what it looks like type of format.

Seriously, if you cleaned up your screen captures with some infographics and some power point presentation from what i witnessed last weekend... thats an easy $1000.00+ mastermind course

But the fact that you are not doing that.. the fact I had to ask a few times is it this or that ( he has a mean accent LOL ) oozes authenticity.. sincerity, and flat out truth to the words you speak and the concepts you share.

You simply are on fire dude.. I cant say enough, I wish the absolute best for you! you deserve it!

ok now THAT sounds like Im a Mick fan boy LOL

I was concerned about that too, but the 90 day challenge showed me I was wrong.

Now it's the first thing I think about when I wake up, and I'm excited EVERY SINGLE DAY about making content that might benefit someone.

I reckon you should do it, you never know it might be a lot of fun, and you have the knowledge to back it up too.

August 4th you hit 1000 subs, and here you are early December with 1900+. So kinda like 1 year to reach 1000 and 4 months ish to gain the next 1000. In the world of youtube minus some influencer shoutout or a piece that goes crazy viral... that is mega growth!

I had a private message asking if this project is profitable yet.

    Yes, it is.

I'm not keen on income claims and that stuff, so it's easily enough to replace a full-time job.

But there are no Youtube ads (I don't even have enough watch time for those yet).

If you dont mind me asking... I believe the Youtube rules for Hours watched is 4000 hrs in one years time.. so 240,000 minutes.. so just how far off are you? So looking atthe data here on this thread we can look at: https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...l#post11456687 and see for the 12 month period ending 11/27 you are at 185,940 hours.

Yes at the year progresses you loose the first month.. but for you we know that those months Nov 2017 had far lessor views than your current viewed minutes. So my guestimation is you are a month out or so?

The reason I make a point of this... People are looking at youtube as a possible platform to make money from... and as much as this thread is about developing followers.. it kinda is also the journey on becoming a "Paid" YouTuber.. and you are just about there ( Wicked cool )

In my own household, I have a son that wants to be a "YouTuber" and he and I have actually sat down in front of this very thread to give him an idea of the work involved and the amount of dedication needed to SUCCEED in his ambitions.

There is nothing better than having a resource that documents the process and gives you a semi baseline in terms of time, and for that Mick, I thank you.

This thread is one of very few that actually demonstrate the work.. and doesnt just offer 4 hours a month riches... which to anyone that is actually successful with this stuff understands that its not all beaches, babes, and goodtimes.. actually after typing that, it has never been any of those things. I can say that it has been nice cars and nice trucks for me tho LOL

I'm JUST under 4000 hours, I'll achieve it within the next few weeks.

Even after I go through the review process, which I hear can take a few months, I doubt I'll enable ads on my videos.

I hope your son makes a good go of it.

Not sure if I'll stay a partner because I've got mixed feelings about Adsense.

I get the concept behind the mixed feelings.. BUT "I'd prefer to make my own money" is kinda BS.

I will bet a great number of people watching this thread... or coming in after the fact and reading the thread are interested in the amount of work and dedication that is needed to get where you are at RIGHT NOW. Monetizing a YouTube channel is EARNED, and its all right here for everyone to see in perpetuity ( Thanks Gary Vee for that word! ) You have EARNED the right to have ads, and get paid. The PAYOFF for working your tail off CONSISTANTLY as you have is having the ability to run those ads and get paid.

Think about this.. collect the adsense payments and donate 50% to a charity. In the end YOU would win, the CHARITY would win, and YOUR VIEWERS win because they become a part of something bigger. - then spend the other half on better cameras, lighting, backdrop etc etc.. use the capitol to re-invest in what it is you do. Again better for YOU and better for YOUR viewers.

You have reached a crest in your success... a mile stone has been reached.. but now the real climb is beginning.. being a business person, you understand that all actions have to have a value... and with value comes the need to increase said value. Right now your goal is 10,000 Subs.. and once you hit that, then 100,000 Subs, and after that 1,000,000 subs and after that, and after that.

Get paid man.. you have EARNED it and you bloody ell DESERVE it!

      keep up the GREAT work!

        I hear you.

Around 10 years ago 100% of my income was from Adsense - and it was great until the CPM rates started declining right across the board.

Then I realised I wasn't my own boss, Google was my boss.

Right now I'm testing things but I don't want to become dependant on Adsense or any revenue stream that I don't have control over.

Last week I got an email from a dude who said he'd been trying to build his website for years but failing hard.

He said he always felt like a failure and he hated his day job.

I had no idea this guy existed until last week when he emailed to say he just fired his boss, because he'd been following my videos.

Yeah I monetized the channel a while ago... but the revenue you see is the Adsense earnings.

If the channel is growing at 400 subscribers a month, then in a years time it should have 9,800 subscribers if it continues growing at the current rate.

It's against the Adsense terms of service for me to reveal what the earnings are, but if I had to GUESS then it would be in the region of $1,000 a month.

      Usually about 30 mins max.

      Approx 10 mins to record.
      5 - 10 mins to upload.
      5 - 10 mins to share.

When I first started it took around 7 hours to make a 10 min video, but as I've become more confident the amount of time has been decreasing.

Now there's usually no editing needed, everything is done in one take, and I edit a thumbnail template while the video is uploading.

I save the audio from my vids as MP3 files and intend to upload them as podcasts, I do this with every video but I frequently forget to upload them. I'm struggling with being consistent with podcasts.

I'm breaking the big milestones down into smaller ones that are easier to achieve.

Every time I get a hundred subscribers it's a little milestone... I celebrate the small victories.

A thousand subscribers is a bigger milestone, but still pretty small when I look at the big picture.

The next milestone is 4,000 subscribers.

Originally Posted by savidge4 View Post

A buddy recently reached the 100,000 subscribers milestone - ultimately I'm aiming for that, and beyond, when I think about the BIG picture.

Right now, on WF, stating 10k feels like a number that's desirable enough to inspire people here, while being realistic enough for them to take action.

The fact is I want to replicate the kind of success I've seen outside of the IM space. I know that's one of the most difficult markets to become established in... but that's ok, I'm loving every second.

Here's a glimpse at the stats from one of my other sites... I have around 30 sites in total, but I feel I could replicate similar results with Profit Copilot.

This is what I'm aiming for.

This is one of my niche sites that I'm modelling Profit Copilot on

While I don't expect to ever reach millions of people a month in the IM space as I've done with other niche sites, I believe aiming for a monthly reach of around 100k is achievable for Profit Copilot.

You're right, the numbers will continue to increase as the content compounds over time, and snowballs.

The forum depends on your niche, but there's a right way and a wrong way to do it.

So sorry! I've been really slack about posting updates... going to fix that shortly, with some detailed analytics for you.

    Here's a start.

    Re: Lockdown...

Man that was scary at the start... everything dropped for a few days... right across all my sites.

    Thankfully they bounced back quickly.

    Hope everyone's ok and safe.

I am looking forward to you reaching your 10,000 benchmark. I have just finished reading the thread, but have not viewed the videos as of yet...I will start that tomorrow. I also read Savidge4 posts on Ebay and the IM challenge (looking forward to reading more on that as well). My daughter had a travel agency (first year out of UCLA) and lost everything with this Coronavirus, so I am trying to help her find a new revenue source (a lot of student loan debt to contend with,LOL). I have always wanted to get involved with online income opportunities (as you can see I have been a member for a while), but I have been too busy with two full-time jobs already. However I am inspired by what you and Savidge4 have shared, that I am going to revisit some strategies. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, and from what I have seen from comments, I am certain your videos will help me in my new enlightened journey back into this world. Stay safe and healthy.

    100% complete!

But more importantly, thank you to you for encouraging me, for supporting me, and for making this journey a bit easier during some very difficult periods.

You see, my life has changed in many ways since I began this.

Along with building a second business that's given me an 'escape route' away from my first, it's also give me a lot more freedom... now I'm able to work around 6 hours a week.

    That's been life changing.

Now, this is where you're expecting me try and sell you something... but I'm not using this thread as a platform to do that.

    You deserve better than that.

    So let's keep it real.

To be straight up with you, today this 10,000 subscriber milestone feels weird.

I've never told anyone this, but when I first started I decided I would only tell my parents about the channel when I reached 10,000 subscribers. Imagining having that conversation with them really motivated me.

But sadly, my mother passed away in February of last year, and my father last October.

They never saw the new business I was building.

What's perhaps crazy is, I never missed my upload schedule during either of those periods. I actually went deeper, my productivity increased as I found solace in creating videos.

In fact, now it's addictive. It feels like more of a hobby than a business.

And even though today is bittersweet, I am incredibly grateful.

I know how fortunate I am to still have amazing people in my life, including you.

You've made this journey feel special to me, so thank you for being part of it.

    Mick
