is there anyone who can share with me some experience?

There are two brothers. A and B. Both are angiologists and surgeons. A is older than B and as the older brother, he tends to be bossy; A is setting up a small clinic-type hospital and basically the entire family (siblings) are working there.

B is my client. A and B have private practices in the same building and, actually side by side. I have been working with B for about 6-8 months now. Things started to go up quite fine. Then I hit a plateau (even though he IS ranking second in GMB); however it seems that A's practice is "rising"... I am pretty sure that what is happening is that the receptionist is allocating A with new coming patients that should be going to B (as they come from my work). Naturally, B's practice is dwindling and he's falling behind on payments. . .

Currently I am working on Social Media, basically just twitter to promote him. I need ideas to ensure that new patients ask specifically for B and not A so that, if the receptionist (who is also kin to A and B) allocates them to A, they will force them to go to B.

He's my first medical client. I used to work for A as he wanted to have a website and stuff. However, he's not the best client and got really pissy because he wanted me to work solely for him at a rate of 250 a month. (that would be 10 hours a day for 250) hahahaha

any ideas??

    1. Create a website for B. Have a few pages like About Him, Appointments page (landing page with a phone number of a secretary or even your phone number, online consultation , Testimonials, a blog where he tells people how to improve health etc. This will add to his Brand name in near future.

    2. Use local directories and premium listing in them to get new clients, For example, we have justdial, practo, lybrate over here in my country. U should have similar online websites in your country.


    I will add more if I get more ideas ....

    I'm not sure if it's legal and ethical in B's country / city / town to offer a promotional discount to out-patients?
    So when they go to the receptionist and ask for B, they'll insist on getting the discount offer.
    They'll force the receptionist to assign them to B and not A.

    Something like a discount code they receive through an SMS from you, which they can then show to B, could work

      I thought of that too. But I am not that convinced because since they are brothers and A is the older one, he often plays the "you owe me" card and the "I'm your older brother". B once told me that he could not raise or lower his fees because his brother had a static charge.

      In addition, people in Mexico are not prone to having coupons. . . We get the frequent user cards and such, but when they are used, even the cashiers go "what?" Still I have proposed it to B. Let's see what he decides.

    Something to think about and I have worked with a few in the medical field is not so much a medical thing but an familial thing.

    Remember.

    "Blood is thicker than water"

    You are not privy to what is discussed privately between the family.

    You don't know the ulterior motives of the brothers.

    You can assume one is succeeding and the other who is paying you is failing but isn't this a family business?

    If the family succeeds and you don't get paid who wins?

    Be careful about the assumptions you make.

    Make sure you get paid.

    Don't allow emotions to play a part as only you will become the loser.

    The obvious solution is for B to get the f#@k out. Seems he has little to lose if his practice is dwindling in the current set-up.

      I would think so too. Specially since even though they are brothers, it has come to a point where B has his own phone number, internet connection and shit. Still it seems that the blood remains somewhat powerful

      IMHO A needs to be adored and will go to any length to have that. and B needs to be needed, so they are simbiotic
