Hello guys, greetings to you all. So, I was told to give away my ebooks for free to build my email list. Considering I am new to sales funnel (never used one) I would like to know whats the best sales funnel platform I can use. Also, I have a website right now which I pay a monthly fee, do I still need to keep the website after creating a funnel? or do funnels come with a site or landing page.

Thanks guys.

I don't think you need a sales funnel if all you're doing is capturing leads. What you need is a service that can store the emails you generate (leads) on your website.

Aweber. Getresponse. Constant Contact are all services you can use. Each have a 30 day free trial. There might be free ones out there you could start with.

You can use a free plugin like beaverbuilder to set up a page on your existing website, where you would insert a sign up form for people to, well, sign up on to get your free ebook.

Do a Google search on how to create a lead capture system. There are a few steps to setting this up, so best do a bit of research and come back here to ask questions on specific problems you encounter along the way.

    Best of luck.

Use it to build your funnel. You don't need a sales funnel "service." I've built hundreds of sales funnels on Wordpress. Don't over-complicate things or pay for stuff you don't need.

  • For someone on a low budget who is just getting started I advise you to have a look into Leadpages. Technically Clickfunnels is the best, but I would switch to it later since it's a lot more expensive. Start getting some sales on Leadpages, it costs just $39/month.

With regards to your website, I advise you host the page you create via your funnel builders (Leadpages, Clickfunnels, whatever you end up choosing), and host it on your website so that it is something like www.yourdomain.com/your-landing-page. It's something that is simple to do and looks more professional.

For email marketing to take care of your funnel backend, I highly recommend you get started with ActiveCampaign. It gives you a lot of flexibility in terms of how you can set up campaigns, and the visual builder makes email sequences super easy to set up and plan.

I'm the owner of a direct response agency, and while I'm pretty sure you can't afford our services to build a funnel for you, I'm more than happy to help answer any questions that you may have to help you build your own!

    All the best.

The best funnel building system is Clickfunnels but it is expensive, starting out at $97/mth. But the pages, funnels and membership sites you build on the platform are hosted there as well. To keep your pages and funnels active, you would need to keep paying your subscription fee.

If you're on a tight budget, you'll be able to create basic lead capture forms in your autoresponder service. You can then integrate them into your site.

You don't say if your website runs on WordPress or some other platform. If it is on Wordpress, there are a number of free and paid plugins you can get that will allow you to build lead capture pages on your site. You won't have to pay additional hosting fees if you go this route. The free Elementor plugin is a good place to start.

With the plugins you pay for, you only pay once, so there is that advantage over subscription based services. Some plugins will require annual fees so you continue to get support and upgrades but you don't have to pay for these if you don't want to. Your plugin will continue to work, you just won't get any more upgrades for it.

If your site doesn't run on WordPress, you can look at online page builders like Landing Page Monkey, OptimizePress, Optin Monster, Popup Domination, etc. to use to build your landing pages, which are hosted on these platforms. Pretty much all of them provide a way to display your pages on your site directly, rather than at web addresses provided by the platforms.

These are all subscription based as well, so you need to keep paying the fees to keep any pages you build with them online.

Hi there, like alot of the users below I am a massive fan of GetResponse for sales funnels. It has heaps of useful features like A/B testing, landing pages, integrations, and so on. (So all you need is within the platform).

Whether you keep your website is up to you; a landing page can effectively replace a website for all needs and purposes. It's unlikely you'd ever be able to get SEO traffic to a landing page however.

  • Hi Kemezie,

I would not recommend a giveaway to build a list as you may not be attracting the right traffic for your business. Instead I feel you should offer quality and value in terms of content to the target audience. Those who are keen in your content means that it concerns them or they are able to relate to your content as they may be looking for solutions to the problem that you are addressing in your content thus this will be the audience that you will want to target. Quality wise in terms of traffic is definitely far better.

Your sales funnel can be done in such a way to drive the traffic to your website. You can also create a squeeze page (1-page website) to use that build your list too.

To my (limited) understanding, you can make a free simple sales funnel by using Mail Chimp + Google Sites. And once you get that off the ground, you could move to a paid option of you want like with ClickFunnels. Though if all you need is something simple and basic I think Mail Chimp(using the free option, I've heard you can send alot of emails for free with it) would work linked to simple free pages created with something like Google Sites. Good luck.

Bad advice - Mail Chimp does NOT welcome or tolerate affiliate marketers.

Building a sales funnel I advise you to get OptimizePress, it's really fantastic product to create sales funnels, landing pages and so on.

For building a list, I suggest to get GetResponse autoresponder.

Some tip. OptimizePress is not cheap, but you can PM I will tell how to get it very cheaply.
