No, it's not ok - use google to find information on 'copyright'. Nothing to do with Adsense - but you don't have the right to take content from other sites and use it. Write your own content or hire a freelance writer to do it for you.

    "Rewriting" doesn't make it acceptable.

Make them high-quality rewrites that are completely original and written in your own words. Then it's totally legit.

During your research, use your better sense to further refine the structure, layout and composition of content, where possible...

There is NO SUCH THING as a 'high quality rewrite' - either you steal someone else's work product or your standards are higher than that.

It is NOT 'legit' - It's called 'derivative copy' and is a violation of copyright.

Better alternative - use google sesarch and read everything you find on the subject....then close those sites and write about what you learned - in your own words. Even better - work in niches where you know enough to write on the topic.

Yea you shouldn't simply manually spin content. I like Kay's idea of reading from several sources and distilling it down into your own unique work.

As Kay King said, it's not okay to rewrite someone's article.

I also believe that there isn't such a thing as a "high-quality rewrite".

Read other people's articles, read some ebooks and PDFs on that subject and simply write what you know.

As they say in copywriting world "It's okay to model after someone, but you CAN'T copy - ever".

Meaning that you can model someone's article "Top XX Tips For XYZ Without Having to 123" and see how he writes (visual flow, bullet points, etc.) , but you can't rewrite or copy what he wrote inside the article.

Don't try to reproduce copyright content from another website on your website.
Google will index it as spam and you will get a lower position on the Google SERPs.
If you keep up with such practices you may get de-indexed totally.
It is best to keep away from such practices.

Everyone can not come up with new ideas and consepts so its alright to rewrite but try to add some different intersting things as well.

No this action can affect or not on your Adsense account, but you can get copywrite claim. Better to write new for that you can get idea from others.
