Getting organic traffic can be a nightmare!

Because the content you are trying to promote can have an impact on the advices people can give you where or how to drive traffic to it.

Google keyword tool.

Among other things, it lets you put in a url and spits the top 800 keywords ot thinks the page is about.

Put your pages through that.

Put the page that is number 1 for one of your top keywords, chose some of the goid (by intent) keywords and ask google keyword tool to give you ideas.

Put yourself in your prospect's shoes, how do they search.

Don't know your niche but here are some examples:

Bride-to-be might be searching for
A-line wedding dress with long sleeves and low back.

Google keyword tool will tell you less than 10 searches like that a month, but the woman who is searching for that really knows what she wants and is ready to buy.

Another example:

is x type of item better than y type

Depending on the item, you get 0 to 100 searches a month. But the searchers mean business.

Another one:
Can you use fha 203k loans to put in granite counter tops

Insignificant number of searches, but... You guessed it.

What are similar searches in your niche?

By the way, did you notice the length of the terms?

You need to add a Facebook pixel and Google pixel. Basically, whatever traffic you send to your site will be captured by these pixels, they are basically a cookie. You use them to run ads based on visitors. So, if you have a sales page they land on, but not on a thank you page after a purchase, you can run ads to those who did not buy.

A Facebook Pixel is a piece of code that you get through the AdManager in Facebook, and you insert the code and it runs in the background.. You program what kind of information the Pixel (code) is supposed to collect from your website (demographics, CTR, other things), and FB collects that information for you. It's a bit complicated (for me) so you can Google/YouTube and find out more and exactly how it's done.
Google Analytics - I don't know what they call their code (I don't think they would call it the same that Facebook does) but it probably does the same kind of thing.

You can't link directly to an affiliate offer on Quora.
Instead link to a website or blog but don't make blatant
promotions of your offers.

Do it indirectly by giving good advice otherwise you can be banned.

If you want to get good ranking then follow these steps.

• After choose keywords for your website ..... Analyze your website completely to follow on page rules and guidelines. If your on page is good then off page will work fine otherwise off page is a bit useless.
• Check your competitors websites and compare with your on page and off page methods. This is must if you want to beat competition and need quick promotion.
• Then apply work either according to competitors status or try to build more better reputation than him.

Not so simple but not so hard also to get desired position within three months ..... I think three months can be deadline because if work is dedicated and according to search engine rules and guidelines then you can see effects on ranking within few weeks or hardly within 2 months.

The simplistic followup questions in this and other threads don't fit with the site in your sig. just sayin.... You appear to be looking for questions to ask rather than learning from answers being provided. It gives the impression of 'posting to raise post count and sig exposure' - though you probalby don't mean it that way. Better to take the time to research answers you don't understand so you will know 'what it means'.



Google has NO FEELINGS about your site...none. Google doesn't care if your site does well and gets traffic - or not. Google is a search engine. If you, as a marketer, do what is required to attract traffic - google will send that traffic. It is up to you to create the paths that traffic will follow - google won't do it for you.

Just what I said. You should not rely on only one source of traffic and SEO should not be your main source.

Awesome. How many sales? How many were robots? (Go to google webmaster tools and see how many visitors spent 0 seconds on your site.)

Being active on many platforms is, in itself, not spreading yourself thin.

Being on many without a strategy or understanding of how to do it well is.

I see many being active on many platforms, without regard to where their ideal client is, without understanding what the rules of the platforms are, etc. Some get banned.

They put in a lot of time and effort, and fail... Either everybody ignores them or the returns are so pitiful they get discouraged.

Based on her questions, I think Veena should slow down right now. Later, she should be active on all platforms time allows that her audience is on.

I think Veena, and all people at her stage, benefit if they focus more on understanding what a marketer is, a problem-solver, and how that applies to temselves.

Too many hear that blogging is easy, you need 2000 minimum words per post but all you have to do is google your keyword, read a couple of the articles that come up and start typing.

And yeah, there is the discussion about passion for the niche.

It works much better if you understand the problem-solver part and how to build authority; if you understand that who your ideal client is and how to talk to them and where you are goingbto reach them.

If you start an article that offers a solution to a real problem your audience has and you write it with an offer in mind knowing why you chose the type if article you are going to write, how you are going to repurpose it and why, you are far better off than doing it the way most beginning bloggers do.

My suggestion, Veena, is to start slowly, set up Google alerts for her keywords and monitor what sites her alerts are coming from. Join the forums and platforms based on the alerts.

Spend some time figuring out how to produce content that addresses acutal problem in a way that her audience will consume, and figure out how to not spam. I have come across many who were spamming, based on idividual platform rules and in general, though their heart was in the right place and, at least some of their participation, contained really useful info for a particular type of audience.

Seems silly, not spamming is not a hard concept, still...

You are right about pillar content, Savidge. And you have seen many who fail at producing. Imagine how those who don't even try.

The thing is, the difference between being successful or not is small, in a way. Just a few slight adjustments in understanding a point here, a point there.

I think slowing down in the beggining, to get that undeslrstanding is crucial. It is hard to unlearn... You might not even be aware what needs unlearning. If you half know / understand, you risk getting exhausted or demoralized or both.
