Hello, New to the table

Yep, I'm new but not only new, completely green. I'm a retired plumber (yep, I hated every second of it and also developed health issues that impact my ability to do my job) that is currently retraining in graphic design, I'm just starting year 2. I decided a while back that I don't like having a boss so entrepreneurship might be worth while. This forum came up on one of my search results as I'm trying to figure out how to make a living while I developed my skill set as a designer.

This is like venturing into strange and exotic lands, everything is alien. Nothing makes sense and you hope you pick the right fruit and not the ones that will give you the urge to evacuate. Hopefully I've stumbled on a tribe of warriors that can show me the ropes and avoid pitfalls.

    First off welcome to the forum. Since you want some side income, you may want to start selling on Ebay - https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...days-ebay.html

    If you have the patience you could always use your plumbing experience. To teach others through online courses. Shame you have issues from working in the field. On another note read different sections of the forum. Do not let it overwhelm you.

    Welcome! I would echo what DWolfe said about using your plumbing experience. I have a buddy who installs irrigation. Everytime he comes up on a problem, he takes out his phone and videos himself explaining the problem, describing potential solutions, and then identifying the best solution for the specific problem and explains why.

    He has created a YouTube channel where he posts these videos as well as a website. I know you can't work as a plumber, but you could do this with plumbing stuff around your house. Though this is not Graphic Design, it could help get you going.
