Hello,

I think it is better for you to learn a skill set and use that skill set to bring forth solutions in the market .

When you are able give people solutions you will be viewed as an asset .

So over the next 6 months make it a priority to learn and apply yourself but don't focus on making money .

Always remember that money is a tool that you don't have to chase but you can attract it using your skill sets .

Trends come and go but once you learn a skillset and continue evolving yourself you will be in demand .

Blogging is a good tool to use to drive traffic and build community .

You can learn face book ads or Seo etc but choose a trade that you like, learn, apply, build measure learn rinse repeat .

Thanks you so much for your helpful reply, I was actually wondering what are the trending " Skills " - That if I started working on them today, they would provide a great help in the future. Also, Let's say I've managed to learn them, where should I market / sell them ?

I would love it if you could provide me some little help on this one. I'm standing on a burning desire to start right away; Thanks a lot.

Far too many "burning desires" are built upon desperate footing.

        Skills trending today.

Same as when you first joined, if it is accurate, 2016,
Same as I came online in 1985.

Just an old guy's opinion, I'd rather have lifetime skills that survive all trends, or can easily be applied to whatever new thing is trending. Take social media.

It really wasn't called that when MySpace got started, and prior to that, before the www was around, there were forums and bulletin boards, sort of, kind of acting like a social hangout.

Biggest trend which is still upticking is: helping people BE SOMEONE, online.

Social media gave a voice, then a TV show, albeit for 30 seconds on TikTok, and that is one thing the next two generations are going to keep growing...the 10 year olds of today, will all want to be someone by the time they are 18.

Any skill you have which helps them reach their goals (and this is in general true of all skills), and knowing and understanding a large% want to be famous, recognized, to be SOMEBODY...will be in great demand for years to come.

A skill which has never gone out of fashion, is the skill of knowing and understanding human behavior, why people do what they do...and it will be a skill in the coming decades as much as it has been in the past ones.

Combine knowing what people want (fame, fortune, sex, romance, adventure) with a tool, like video editing of reels, and you have everything you need to ride every trend coming your way.

        GordonJ

P.S. If you have the skill of using Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut, you will have in demand skills for both individuals and corporations, video isn't going away.

I appreciated everything you said about the Human Behavior, and why people do what they are doing. But it seem like I don't know exactly where to start - What should I exactly learn that will benefit me in the near future.

You are an expert in this field, I guess - You seem to be here long than I do although I registered here back in 2016 myself, but I haven't posted anything since that time, I haven't even came here since that era.

Anyways, I would love if you could just give me a guidance on what should I focus on ?

I really really appreciated everything you've provided me so far, thanks once again.

The WF archives have a lot of great info, take a few days and learn who to follow, then read their old posts.

And start the free trial (30 days) at scribd.com,

Once you have the free trial, read Robert Cialdini's work pre-suasion, then read summaries there, or better yet, get it from your library or buy a copy of INFLUENCE, the most current edition.

Write out his 7 KEYS (weapons) of Influence. This will give you a great start in understanding behavior, then go to whatever social media or other platforms you use, and try to identify which one of the weapons is being used on you.

Clickbank, JVZoo, WarriorPlus are all good places to see copywriting, which is an evergreen essential skill which you will use the rest of your life...and using Cialdini, and at first, ONLY CIALDINI, to avoid confusion and the 1001 rabbit holes one can go down on this.

For example, one key or weapon ( me being a loving warrior, don't care for going to war) one KEY is committment and consistency. Examine your own life, and see how you have committed to something and stay with it.

Learn by doing, and PARTICIPATE in discussions at forums, groups on facebook, or anywhere you find a convo about influence, persuasion and human behavior.

The idea, is to build a skill...and if you only FOCUS on one at a time, until you really understand it, you'll be building your future on solid education.

Robert Cialdini. Know his 7 Weapons of Influence. Start a notebook and spend the next two weeks, reading and taking notes.

Even at 15 bux a month, scribd is a pretty good deal, but don't forget, your local library is free.

So you're saying Persuasion is one of the Deadly Skills I need to really Master ? I heard
Stories about people making huge amount of cash relying on Affiliate Marketing and E-Commerce.

So without the need to go on a different skill such as Programing, Photoshop... I could Master this one skill in Particular and Go on with it ?

I will buy it right away of Pre-suasion I will keep you updated with my progress. I'm already a huge fan of Jim Rohn and Brian Tracy - I've read a few of their books. Once Again Thanks a Lot!

Yes. And maybe, and no. I'll explain, but first...I mentioned VIDEO, it isn't going anywhere. Now TODAY, I call your attention, and this is NOT in any way an endorsement...but there is a new WSO about making ReviewVideos, from a company already doing a lot of "reels" type stuff. I think the WSO is less than 40.

Now you could, if inclined, MASTER this one skill, making reels, review and others...and that one skill, along with the software, and that is very cheap...COULD be a skill you could profit from for a long time to come.

So, there are skills, as long as you know there is a lot of COMPETITION, and for the most part those skills are time for dollar exchanges and commodities. The highest paid commodity provider is the one which has persuasion and influence skills too.

You could see someone at Upwork charging 100 bux an hour to do video with over 900 deals done, or see someone at 20 dollars an hour with only 100 gigs.

                Which would you rather be?

So there are lots of skills, like what you mentioned, programming, Photoshop, and they all have their own learning curves...BUT, once you have proficiency and want to market your skill, then you need skills of persuasion and influence; copywriting, salesmanship.

Take a day, go through WSO section for ideas, then go to the service providers to see who is selling the skill, for what price and who is getting good amounts of money for their time. Top 3 would be fiverr, upwork and freelancer, then look to others.

This way, you will SEE exactly what any given skill you choose to pursue, you'll see exactly what people are paying to buy that skill from you.

I am saying, that if you do master persuasion and influence, it ENHANCES every other skill you have, and that could make you deadly (if that is what you want) in the marketplace.

No reason you can't do both, take on one new skill, like (only for example) the WSO about reviewreels and at the same time study Cialdini and Blair Warren to learn about human behavior.

I've been reading the very first part of the book you told me about Persuasion ( Chapter 1: Pre-Suasion: An Introduction ) were the author mentioned recording lessons thought to inspire salespeople, marketers, TV advertisers... I need to study this book!

I guess Affiliate Marketing will be a great field for me, I already have a few basics on Sales Marketing and Economics, I did study that back at college. What are your advises ? I'm really ready to learn more and more about the Internet Marketing, my vision is to start an E-Commerce Business and provide value - I guess Affiliate Marketing and Persuasion tactics would be a good starting point, isn't ?

Thanks a lot, you provided me with a great guidance so far. Thanks.

dive into Warrior Forum, heck, you have EXPERTS right here at your fingertips. Read 100 WF posts on affiliate marketing while taking notes. Maybe a couple of hours.

Then look at your notes. Who, or what appealed to you? One thing, is get started today, and don't overcomplicate it, keep it simple and try to make a fast sale, have some quick success.

Join any and all free Facebook groups on affiliate marketing, read all the free books you can, watch as many YouTube videos as time allows.

For about 3 days, just fill your mind up with as much affiliate marketing information as you can, all while visiting the platforms, especially WarriorPlus, jvzoo and clickbank and look for offers which you would buy. Maybe even buy a couple and get into their sales funnels to see exactly what they are doing.

There are many Warriors with affiliate programs out there, go through their 5 or 6 pages of upsells, downsells, dime sales, limited time offers, followups, Easter Eggs (or as I call them Potato Chips{Bet you can't eat just one}) and get that notebook started where the only thing you write in it is what you are learning.

So, long winded way to: best advice: take action; study, search, join, DO.

Why do you believe there are 'trending' skills? Basic skills are what you need. A 'burning desire' does make it go faster - you joined in 2016 so...

Everything you need to know - or need to learn - is on this forum somewhere or other. Start with using the Forum Search to find specific topics.

You are jumping from want to learn ...to how to sell - and no single forum discussion will cover everything. Here are a couple of "how to" threads to get you started:

    https://www.warriorforum.com/beginne...rs-2020-a.html

    https://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...days-ebay.html

From choosing a niche and products to how to sell to how to build a mailing list and on and on....the info is here if you look for it. Detailed questions will get better answers than broad questions.

You're saying, common sense is a skill, and skills can be learned, right? So how does one learn common sense?

It may be a "skill" needed by millions, wanted by none of them, and worth zero in the marketplace. So, if you have a course, you could be set for life, or have a worthless course, right?

The problem with TEACHING common sense to kids, is...it comes with a bias from the teacher, a student in a Catholic school would have their "common sense" wrapped around their faith, the same as a kid in a Jewish or Christian school.

Now, although, maybe you meant it as a little jab, I don't know your intent, lets look at it from IM WF perspective.

Common Sense 1. You don't make money for doing nothingl

CS 2 Money is a way to measure value, but not the only way.

CS3 If you want more money, exchange more value.

CS4 The root of exchange is a transaction.

CS5 The more transactions you make the more money you make.

CS6 The higher the amount of the transaction, the more money you make.

CS7 Make more transactions with higher value amounts= make your dough!!

      Right?

Here is a skill set you should master and get good at if you are trying to build an affiliate marketing business for example -my mentor called it the four core areas of focus:
    - traffic
    - capture
    - follow-up
    - sales system

let me explain briefly what that means: in order to be successful with your online business you need traffic - the right kind of people that look at your content - your audience - people who are interested in your topic/in your product, then you need to capture those people which means getting some information from them like an email address and then you need to stay in contact with them to build the know like and trust factor which is your follow up process. The last thing you need is a sales system, which means you need a great product and a good sales funnel naturally leading people into buying low and high ticket products. Once you focus and master these 4 skills you can be very successful online.

And no these are no trending skills and nothing which is new in 2022, but rather something that always works since decades.

Personal skills like discipline, influence and mindset in general are an important prerequisite for it anyway. Good Luck

      That's gold! I needed it.

The problem with Free Traffic, is that it requires a lots of SEO Expertise isn't ?
Capturing and Follow-up and the Sales System seem to be a little bit easier compared to getting the Traffic in the first place.

      Thanks for reading and replying.
