Site Completely Deranked on Google

Hi all,

My site was completely deranked from google a few days ago, the site has around 2 months and it had been doing quite well in the first months. I've been adding content to it pretty much everyday and was all going fine.

However, a few days ago got completely deranked, everything disappeared from google rankings and search console also shows barely any impressions (few are from me searching site:xxx).

Any idea why this happened and how I can fix it? Really strange why everything disappeared from one day but I don't really know what to do here.

Here is the impressions graph from console: https://ibb.co/Lx6XnDg

Thank you for the help

Please tell me what type of content was published? I mean is it was unique or some spun articles? This could have a big impact to your rankings.

Thank you for the reply, it was related to crypto gambling and all unique.

I don't know if it could be for backlinks, I bought like 4/5, but apart form it I don't really know what could have caused this.

Do you know if there is any way to know?

Because on this case it was not get penalized on rankings and losing positions, I literally lost all 100 keywords I had and impressions went from like 600/700 to almost 0.

      Thanks again

My guess is that some of the links you bought are from places known to Google as link sellers. You found out about these link sellers somehow. If you found them with your limited resources, how hard do you think they were to find for Google?

Not sure if you have Google Search Console, but I wouldn't be shocked if there was a notice of a manual action against your website in your Reports.

Even if it is not there, Google ignores links that it knows are bad/purchased ones and, although they may not have initially realized some of your links were suspect, eventually those websites became known to Google as backlink sellers and they devalued the links that originally propelled your website in the rankings.

Thanks for the feedback, I did not get any manual action on google search console as I looked for it.

From your experience, besides backlinks, is there any other reason you would see for all my keywords to disappear and site to be completely deranked?

I was doing unique content with good value for users.

          Thank you

Crypto is a great topic, but gambling is not because
it is problematic. You can do some work-arounds but
it's probably not worth the effort in the long-term.

If you want a bright future in IM, where you actually
make money, you need to work with evergreen topics
and products that you can build your business around.

I recommend not putting all your eggs in one basket.
Diversify as is practicable for you and build multiple
income streams so that you have other businesses
to fall back on, in case something goes sideways.

You are on the right track, you just need to fine-tune
        and keep moving forward.

          Thanks for the feedback.

I understand what you mean, but both me and my partners have been working in gambling for over 10 years, so we still know some ways of creating more unique content with value for users. Although it's a very saturated market, we were doing quite decently in just a few months.

The problem was getting completely deranked from google and losing all keywords, as I mentioned.

From your experience, what could have caused this? Do you have any idea?

          Thank you!

I'm sorry but what part of

            "GAMBLING IS PROBLEMATIC"

            don't you understand?

Your site was probably and most likely deranked because
its topic is gambling. Not because the topic is saturated but
because it might possibly be illegal and against Google terms
            and conditions and/or policies.

Have you contacted Google to ask what the matter is?

That's probably what you should do.

In the meanwhile, and once again, If you are dealing with a
topic that you have to tiptoe around, it would be a good idea
            to find another topic.

Could you please tell me how I'm able to contact google for these kind of situations to get clarification from them?

I have tried to find a way to get in touch with them but couldn't find any.

              Thanks again

I'd also point out that frequently, a new site seems to rank well at the beginning as Google split tests its user metrics against other sites, temporarily testing your site at various positions in the SERPs. Eventually, Google puts the site where it believes it belongs based upon those user signals. Nobody at Google is going to confirm that this is what really happens, but it sure seems to be the case.

    Hey there,

Check if you received any manual penalties in Google Search Console under the Security & Manual Actions section. This sudden drop can often be due to a penalty or a big algorithm update. If there's no penalty, review your recent changes for anything that might not align with Google's guidelines, like keyword stuffing or dodgy backlinks. Get rid of anything shady and update your site. If you did everything right, your rankings might recover with time. In general, a 2-month site is a bit too young. Maybe you can also wait for some time till next update. Meantime try to publish unique non chat-gpt articles once a day at least.

It's possible that your site experienced a sudden drop in rankings due to various reasons such as algorithm updates, technical issues, content quality, backlink profile, or manual penalties. To address this, conduct a thorough review of your website for any technical issues, ensure high-quality content, analyze your backlink profile, and monitor competitors' strategies.

I have the same issue on my website. I'm just getting lots of traffic suddenly everything drops. The worst part is that Google doesn't even tell why they did it at least it will give the webmaster an edge to rectify the issues. I am totally frustrated with Google's actions.

This could be due to various reasons:

+ Your website may have technical issues that are hindering better rankings.
+ Your content might not be offering enough value to readers.
+ Your website might have an algorithmic Google penalty that you're not aware of.

To pinpoint the exact cause, a more detailed analysis of your website is necessary.
