Out of boredom I once created a little campaign for a product and started sending social traffic to it. I used tweets and updates like 'this video is stupid' and 'Don't watch this dumb video' and 'This vid was so stupid I want my time minutes back.'
I made sales on the single lesson that people can be driven to any site like that. It was complete with a stupid video, so there was no false or misleading statements made. A 10 second video stating the the video was stupid. With a single short blurb about how to greatly use this for generating traffic. The blurb was below the fold, so people had to scroll to see it, and sales were made.
$3.99 for a single page PDF file and the vid in a zip file. I sold about 200 of them direct, so just PayPal fees, and 0% charge back rate. This was over the course of like 3 weeks. A bit over $700 for such a simple waste of time.
Just a stupid small idea that can generate some cash for you quickly when needed.
