Have you been banking off of politics yet? This 2012 US election is something that is just incredible with money making opportunities, and, they still exist for a while longer. About 47 more days, including today, to see if you can make some money off of Mitt Romney and President Obama.
Think content locking, polls to build mailing lists, and that sort of thing.
Now the charities....
You have several good ones coming up. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is in October, a big big thing. Think incent offers where part of the proceeds go towards the charity, and, part goes in to your pocket. Post a nice pic of the check or money order going to the American Cancer Society on your site to build credibility.
Toy for tots.... Help the US Marine Corps get money for the toys.
Incent offers are the way to go.
I use these types of activities on a local site, but I am known to several business owners as I had a brick and mortar business in my area for a while.
