No really. I know it FEELS new. I know many of you THINK that you 'came up' with some of this stuff, but believe you me, Everything you're doing, has been done before.
I'll give you the perfect example I thought of while replying to a post I just saw in the forums.
A young lady (I think...don't know with all the WF monickers) posted in a thread about her new adult product she wanted to launch, but had run out of money developing the site/idea, etc. Wow could I resonate with that. How many times had I been there?
How about you? How many times have YOU been to that place, WELL before you ever hit your firstone out of the park, where you are trying to pull this shoestring to get THAT shoe tied.

I thought WOW, let me go look at this site. SO I did, and it was painful. Not that the site was ugly. Just that it reminded me SO much of how I used to try and 'be in business online'.
Back in the day, WAAAAY back in the day, I was sending out MILLIONS of emails a day, just before the days of the big Sanford Wallace legal action.
I remember when it all blew up. I was maintaining hotmail accounts like a crazy one legged chicken back then. I wasn't alone. if you wanted to make money online then, it required some jumping through hoops.
I digress - this young lady and her adult product. Ok, so my method of operation then was to capitalize on the Affiliate programs of all of the porn sites. I read a report one day that explained how these guys were making money hand over foot.
I was skeptical at first, but tried it out on a small scale, and was amazed that it actually worked. OH but there was NO paypal then. Uh Uh!
Nope, you had to rely on people sending you a check. But for these guys, there were affiliate programs they had working that ran on the back end that send us our money. It was nice.
Not so much the content or industry, but the money was good. Ok, so to BE a player in the biz, you had to either HAVE a site or three, OR, you had to know HOW to promote sites.
Then, the method was reviews. Not so much like the reviews we do today, with video and analysis, but simple pages, with sexy graphics, and a few words about the site. This was ALL it took to get people from YOUR page, converting to the SALES page.
The Review process has been around SINCE. it is one of the many tried and true methods of marketing online, that works and WILL work.
Well, I wanted to REINVENT the wheel. I felt somehow, that "it was the adult industry, so I should do my OWN thing and bring something NEW to the table".
WRONG!
Nope, as with this young lady and her new product, it's NOT good to shake up what is working. Just because you are in an adult niche, does not mean you should let go of all the basic sales techniques that WORK.
Her page had no real discernable structure. To make good sales and good conversions, you MUST have a solid sales funnel of some kind.
Her product was NOT hightlighted anywhere on the site. Impossible to do large volume sales with NO product pictures. Sure it's adult in nature, but at least show it IN the package.
Her site didn't feel professional, even on a Warrior professional level. Just gmail links to send her email, and a phone number and address.
See, it was clear she had read and learned a bit somewhere online. But was trying to reinvent the wheel for what she THOUGHT, was a unique sales proposition. But to her I said, do what works.
Learn about setting up a traditional sales funnel, then apply that knowledge to YOUR product. THEN, peruse this place and find someone to help and assist you. THEN, do what the rest of us are doing and use the tools that we all use - mostly FREE.
And make some money.
But my last point to her was not to give up. And that brings me back to my opening point - what you are doing now, has been done before.
The cycle never really ends, and those that REALLY get it, realize that there is no need to go building a new wheel, when there is a store to sell the wheel, or better a school to learn how to MAKE the wheel, right around the corner.
The things that were being used to make money THEN, and still being used to make money now. I thought then, that I should build a different kind of 'review' page to get good conversion rates to the sites I was an affiliate of.
I was wrong. When I adjusted my sites to the way EVERYONE ELSE who was making money, was doing theirs - BAM! Money.
And they were simply old versions of Review Posts. Static then, wordpress and dynamic now. But still, as then, now, they serve the same purpose.
And I couldn't see that. I was clouded by my arrogance and desperation. She is too as I am sure, are many.
Just remember, the OLD tactics have simply been rehashed to STILL be the work horses they have always been. Implement them in earnest, and find the success you seek....
Never forget that everything you're doing now, has certainly been done before.
Could be a good blueprint.
