Hi guys! First of all, to all who are reading this. A big thank you. It hasn't been a easy decision to throw away everything and start anew again. Why did I say that? I am actually writing this blog post from Udon Thani, a northeastern city located in Thailand. Mind you, I do not speak Thai and neither do I have a Thai girlfriend. I do have friends working in Thailand but they are in Bangkok. By staying in Udon Thani, I am all alone. Success is a lonely journey~ Haha. Not only that, I left my job, my dear family and friends to come over here. And most importantly, I left my comfort zone.

It isn't an easy decision, in fact, to many, it is a crazy decision. Leaving a stable job to venture into the unknown is considered to be a 'No-no" especially in Singapore. Furthermore, I am going to do something which I hasn't been having much success while doing it part-time. Most people would only go into their business full-time after the business is stable and profiting. I did the taboo. I left my job in order to do full time on internet marketing.

I reach this mid life crisis in which I start wondering what did I really want in my life. To work in an organization peacefully or to venture on my own. Since young, I always wanted to do my own business. That why I studied Business Administration while I was in University too. However, operating the traditionally brick and mortar business is out of my reach due to the insane amount of capital required. Hence, ever since I was serving my National Service (National Service is the compulsory serving of the Nation's Armed Forces when you are around age of 19), I was exposed to MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) and Internet Marketing. I did both. Did not managed much success in both.

However, the experience changed my whole mindset and increased my interest in doing something of my own. 10 years on, i was in and out of the internet marketing industry. At one point, I was churning out articles to do affiliate marketing. Back in those days, it was easy and I earned about $2K in total. Not bad for extra income. $2K back then can buy lots of stuff. Hehe.

I was then introduced to SoloAds Business. Did not have the consistency to do it and instead lost at least $10K. At first, you be motivated, disciplined, then after a while, the fire died. The effort became inconsistent and if you do not have the discipline to do it, then, sorry someone else would be ahead of you.

The next question that many of you might asked, if you hasn't succeeded, why take the risk then? It is because I know that internet marketing is doable. In fact, it is doable and can be profitable for anyone of us. The only problem is that you have to treat it like a REAL BUSINESS. It is as real as opening up a F&B Cafe. Ask any successful entrepreneur, did they achieve success while doing it part-time? Maybe some will answer they did, but they did it with a full-time effort. If my day to day work does not allow me to commit full time effort, then I would need to give up either the business or the job. Correct?

So that's it! I decided that it was better to venture out on my own and at least I tried. It is now or never as I always tell my friends. I am glad that my family and friends supported my decision. What worst would happen? Get a job again ...
