Good morning my friends! I just made my own breakfast of scrambled eggs and bread. Staying alone, you have to make your own breakfast, and make sure it is a nutritious meal.

Today, let’s talk about something apart from internet marketing. Something that will affect your life and everything that you do. T. Harv Eker, author of the bestselling “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” often quote this:

How you do anything is how you do everything ~

This is very true and in fact applies to all of us. It is our attitude that determines our actions and reactions. So what makes a person so different is the difference in mindset. In my own words, the discipline of the person. As the title of this post suggests, we are going to discuss about motivation and discipline. I believe for every action that you takes, there is a reason for you doing it, be it consciously or subconsciously. There will be a motive.
In order to step out to do something out of the norm, you need to be sufficiently motivated. If we go back to the basics of goal setting and planning our goals, many coaches will always ask you this questions, “What is it that you want and WHY?” You need to have a strong, compelling reason so that you are able to put the first step out and start doing. Monetary benefits is usually the cited as the primary reason. Then, my question will be what do you want the money for? You will actually realize that money is just a form of medium for you to achieve some other things that you actually wanted. For example, a dream home so that you can stay together with your love ones. Or maybe a new branded bag for your wife as a surprise gift so that she will be very happy and you will also be happy. And mostly, to be able to be financially free so that you can do things that you like. How much are you willing to go through in order to get to the things that you like to do.

I love this quote from Les Brown:

Yes! Period! If you want to achieve something in life that is different from others, then you have to be willing to do things differently. Don’t expect the tree to grow oranges when you plant apple seeds!

In order to get things started, you need to overcome your fear and be motivated. Motivation helps to push you to do things. Similar to willpower, there is a limit to how much motivation can keep pushing you. Motivation will not be able to last forever. The effect will die off. This is when discipline comes into the picture.

If you are able to continue to put in consistent effort and also your actions become a habit and that you are disciplined to continue to do the same, then discipline will pull you through. For example, a gold medalist winning runner, he may be motivated keep breaking records, but he needs to be disciplined to carry out the tough training. If you look at sportsperson and their trainings, are they motivated to go through the training or are they disciplined enough to go through the training. Initially, it is the motivation but it eventually become discipline that matters.

It is the same for you and me. In whatever things that we do, if you can cultivate a good habit and make it become part of your life that does not require any extra effort for it to be activated. Well done, that is discipline. Similarity for me, I have to “train” myself to complete all the task everyday without fail. So far, I haven been as disciplined as I wish to. Oops No excuses for me, I only can keep trying.

I have been a avid fan of motivation and I loves to be able to motivate or inspire others around me. In my years of dabbing the internet business. I realize that I am usually motivated at the start and the motivation effect wears off after some time and the primary reason is because I was too comfortable and that I could afford to fail. That’s a wrong mindset and totally not a good mentality. Therefore, I now put myself in a situation where I could not longer afford to fail. I need to cultivate my self-discipline. Still, I still love motivational quotes and videos because they help to give you a burst of energy to start doing things.
When we are able to do things consciously, it is the motivation pushing us and when it is done subconsciously, it is the discipline that is pulling us through. Motivation is the start. Discipline is the one that lasts and make the difference.

So what do you think? What are your thoughts? Let me know

Break Free .. Be Happy ..
