I've read my fair share of "self help / motivational" books and many of them have featured a similar message relating to your schedule, your activity and.....getting out of bed!
The message is simple and takes on this form:
You need to give yourself something in your schedule every day which causes you to leap out of bed the next.
If you've packed your schedule with an exciting (or even urgent) activity then this will dictate how likely you are to lie around in bed thinking about getting up.
Those who have plans, leap out of bed raring to go and they can't get their clothes on quick enough!
If you aren't leaping out of bed, but moping around in the morning like a tranquilized sloth, then it's maybe time to question for schedule and the activities it's composed of.
If it's all quiet on the western front and there's no tasks to be done, simply invent them. A contribution of something (however small) gives purpose to your day and there's always the trusted brainstorming process to allow you to concoct ideas!
