Did you ever pick up a book on a topic and notice when you start to read it that it is like they are talking about you? And not in a good way…

That was my experience when I picked up “Presentation Zen” by Garr Reynolds.

Presentation Zen is a book about how to make better communications and presentations instead of the horrible point-filled PowerPoint presentations we usually see. The book is quick to point out that PowerPoint is not the problem – the problem is how we use it.
As I read through examples of how most PowerPoint shows make boring presentations, I realized that they could be talking about my PowerPoint presentations. YIKES!
The book teaches you how to create high impact visuals to enhance your presentation and to get away from trying to make PowerPoint double as both the presentation and the handouts.

Everything you learn can be applied to other presentation tools than PowerPoint such as Open Office Impress, Flash, Apple Keynote, and others.

The book is easy to follow with great, creative ideas to make your presentation stand out. The book even shows you how to make charts and graphs more interesting.

After reading this book, I am inspired to do a much better job of my future presentations. The book will help me find my own “Presentation Zen.”
