Keep In Touch With Your Affiliates

Today I got a call from one of my old affiliates that has never made a single sale. The original plan for this guy was to teach him article writing to promote his affiliate link. He never finished the second article and kind of drifted off.

So he calls me today asking if I can help him out with a reverse email search
because he mailed a camera to a guy in Africa that replied to his Craigs List ad.
Long story short I traced the email to an Internet Cafe in Africa that is notorious for Internet scams. But the affiliate and I got to talking about his affiliate marketing plan and why it never took off.

In the course of the discussion I found out the man has a video production company but never promoted his affiliate link on youtube because I was pushing him into article wrting.

He thought I was some kind of expert Internet marketer and didn't want to argue with me about article writing.
Well we ended the call with a plan to begin intensive youtube marketing program together.

I guess the moral of the story is tou adjust your Affiliate Program
matrketing stradegy to the talents of the individual affiliate. Listen to them, don't just talk to them.
