URL Redirection Services May Be Costing You

I’ve always used URL redirection services like TinyURL to reduce and “hide” affiliate links in emails and for other “one off” purposes. It just seemed quicker than using the one on my server.
However, a few weeks ago, I was using the TinyURL redirection service to shrink affiliate URLs in a promo email and had a few people reply telling me it wasn’t available. After some research I found that it was being blocked by their country, Saudi Arabi. I also found out that several other major countries also block TinyURL along with several other URL redirection services.
