Ray Kroc earned over $500 million in his lifetime. But his successful franchise didn't come to fruition until he was in his 60s. He purchased McDonalds at 57 years old.
He was a musician, and ambulance driver and sold blenders and milkshake machines for most of his life. He started and failed at many businesses along the way.
Harland "Colonel" Sanders start being successful in his 60s, at 65 he used his social security check to start franchising his restaurants.
He was a steamboat pilot, insurance salesman, fireman and many other things before starting a restaurant in the back of a gas station.
There are tons of examples of successes like this late in life. Why am I bringing it up? Because it shows you should never give up. If these guys persevered into their 60s and still kept trying then nobody in their 20s, 30s or 40s should even consider being discouraged when you put it into perspective.
