Effective January 1, 2014, California requires commercial websites collecting private information that can identify consumers to include in their privacy policy a statement about whether the website adheres to "Do Not Track" requests in a user's web browser.

Let me start by stating a general rule: Google does not like affiliate sites.

This is a fact and not open for discussion.

If this is something you want to argue about go elsewhere and have fun ranking your Amazon affiliate sites in Google by copying Amazon product listings on your site with links back to Amazon.

Better yet - go advertise ClickBank products with your affiliate link on AdWords and let us know how many minutes it takes to get banned.

I have made several forum posts over the years recommending the eBay affiliate program, and have suggested it in more than one product.

I take it all back.

On October 1st eBay slashed its affiliate referral cookie down to 1 day and the result has been as expected - catastrophic for affiliates.

We are not talking about a minor dip in earnings, but what appears to be about a 70% loss to the typical affiliate.

Affiliates are understandably in revolt....

There are great opportunities online to create a free blog that will get high search rankings, drive traffic, and also give you valuable "DoFollow" backlinks.

Due to massive abuses by spammers these opportunities have drastically dwindled over the years.

For instance, this Warrior blog almost meets that definition. If I am not mistaken, one has to pay to be a War Room member to get a blog, but everyone should be a War Room member anyway.
