The True Value of Professional Services

Currently on the Warrior Forum there is a
thread discussing the price of press release
writing and distribution services that has
prompted me to stop and reflect - What are
these types of services truly worth? How do
you measure their real or perceived value?

What is the value of worldwide publicity, the
quality kind that invites targeted traffic to
your website, forum or blog?

What is the worth of a professional looking
website with eye-popping graphics and well-
written content? Whose links work properly
and entice the visitor to stay, browse, buy,
join, bookmark or refer. What about stunning
original logos that instill your brand into the
viewer's mind?

How about a well-thought-out report, ebook or
tutorial that features an ultra-organized table
of contents, attractive images and easy to
understand text?

Can you place a true price on a membership
site whose software script runs flawlessly,
doesn't reject payments or lose subscribers?
Or a CC payment system that processes your
buyer's remittance with 99.99% uptime and
100% accuracy?

When assessing the value of a service, one
should not make their decision based on price
alone. One must also consider long-term and
short-term benefits, whether the service will
enhance one's business reputation, attract
high-end customers, etc., as well as an
endless array of unknown variables.

After much consideration, I have concluded
that it is impossible to put a price on certain
commodities and so I can proclaim that the
value of the above-mentioned professional
services is priceless. Furthermore, the notion
that cost equals value is an unfortunate
misperception of the uninformed mind.
