(HTML)? The easiest tutorial site that I have
found is HTML Goodies.

There are a gazillion others, but this explains
things simplistically and it's beginner friendly.
Go through HTML Goodies for a few days and
soon you'll be an expert.

I have noticed that there is a proliferation of
folks setting up shop on free blogs, webpages
and subdomains. It’s as if they are afraid to
register a domain name. Perhaps they are
worried that it’s too complex or expensive,
or they can’t decide on a suitable name for
their online venture.

Keep in mind that domain names are not a
forever commitment. If you registered a name
that no longer fits, think up something...

If you don't know how to setup a website and
don't have a clue about monetizing it, why not
keep it simple and use WordPress and AdSense?

WordPress is easy to learn, fast to install, easy
to use, customizable, good looking and can be
monetized in a flash.

AdSense can be installed by adding your
publisher ID, after you've setup your Google
account, of course.
