Actually thats the problem, she didn't say anything. I'm not saying she was a bad mom, far from it.
But she never told me I could do anything I put my mind to. She did not tell me, that what I true believe I can achieve.
Course, if she had told me all that "stuff", would I have believed her? Do any of us listen to our parents when we ere younger? Seems it takes many years, struggling out on our own to finally admit or come to the conclusion that, gee, some or all of what mom and dad said was right.
I recently posted a thread asking if any one had an success in getting their children to read such classics as think and grow right. Every one came up with pretty much the same answer, same as my experience, you can't make them. As i think about it, I guess I was the same way when I was their age.
On the other hand it does not hurt to try and instill in them, they have the power to do anything they set their mind too.
