This question comes up over and over again. How do you find a cheap or inexpensive membership site script. I was on that treadmill a bit ago.

I looked at wordpress and a number of plugins. I even purchased the unlimited edition of wishlist member that seems to be a good script. But wordpress seemed to be a struggle for me to get it working exactly the way I wanted. That was becuase of two problems...one of the problems was the need to outsource..but that is a whole other thing...

I looked at the very powerful drupal. I even kicked around turning my drupal site into being both a blog and a membership site. But once again it was a struggle...

Then I came upon two things. First was membernaire by Jimmy D. Brown. Here your membership site is nothing but a page that holds the current weeks lesson. Then you set up your autoresponder to send a link to the lesson. At first I though that people would feel cheated by such a system, but my people have had no issues with this system.

Another development was finding nanacast. So now I use nanacast and these mini-lesson webpages as backups for each other. If nanacast is having issues, people can go to the minilessons, and if the minilessons site is down, then folks can go to nanacast.

The nice thing about this system is that nanacast incorporates a full scale affiliate system. It includes upsells. It is everything you need!

I have been kicking around the idea of setting up a parallel system in clickbank just to open up my site to clickbank affililates...

But in the end...if you want an inexpensive membership script...use your autoresponder. If you want a full scale system, get Nanacast.
