Getting your first lead. If you’re just starting out your journey online, and you’ve got your product that you’re promoting, and you’ve got your lead capture page and all your aweber account set up, but you’re just lost where to start bringing in some leads, then stick around and have a read, as I’ll be showing you a few methods that you can use today to gain some momentum and get the ball rolling in your business.

Before you start marketing to bring in the leads, I would highly recommend that you sit down and put aside a monthly/weekly budget, on how much you can spend on advertising.

When you’re first starting out, the toughest thing is actually getting started.

Don’t get too overwhelmed on what is right and what is wrong, as you can only expect to make mistakes, its almost impossible to get everything right the first time in internet marketing.

Remember, you’re not focusing on selling, you’re focusing on getting some leads coming through first.

There are many places to get started.

First thing you might want to do is target your current warm market, i.e, your friends and family.
You can promote your product on social media websites that you maybe involved with, like on your Facebook page or twitter.

Personally, when I got started I had a very low weekly budget. To start off, I sniffed around on fiverr.com – Fiverr is place where you can find hundreds of people offering a service for $5, anything from design, marketing, videos, you name it. So feel free to check that out.

You can spend some time here and no doubt you’ll find someone who is willing to promote your product to their list of customers, or you can rent a cheap banner ad space.

NOTE: This is ONLY to help you pop your first lead cherry. I would not recommend Fiverr as your main source of lead generation, as the leads from here aren’t exactly the top notch quality. You’re paying 5 bucks, you get exactly what you pay for.

I also use ViralURL. Its a product that offers a unique feature where you can send an email/solo ad off to up to 6000 members every three days. It will cost you around $200 start off from memory, but its an good way of getting your message out there consistently.

Last but not least, Safe-swaps. This is the place you’re guaranteed to get leads. You can buy solo ads for as little as $28 for 100 clicks. You should get from anywhere between 10-30 leads each solo you send out, as long as it fairly decent.

TIP: You can go to Fiverr, and get someone to write you a solo ad for $5.
