How is your infographic going to be used?

And, these lists are for the most part, totally worthless. Meaningless. Any given "power" word, or word you have listed only derives it's power from CONTEXT. How it is used in a given situation.

Expensive as an emotionally disruptive word? Really? Consider expensive is relative. What might be expensive to me, wouldn't be to a Trump.

Then, it is also, what your target brings with them. They often provide the context to give your word power, take the word CULT. For many of us it is a benign word, has no real meaning until we see how it is used, if it is the CULT OF COPY, we have a different meaning than the cult of devil worship.

Yet, many bring a negative connotation along with them with the word cult, so if your target market is alt right religious folk, the word has more power than it might to mainstream readers.

Good luck with your infographic, it is just my opinion, I've never seen a list, or book of words or "power phrases" which was actually useful...for copywriters.

Because they write for their target audience and understand a single word or phrase only has impact by the context and rapport it has with the target.

Thing is, words thrive on context.

Pull 'em outta their meaningfulular comfort zone, they play like crap.

Ooooh oooh -- bring me ACTION, bring me FIRE-UP, bring me ELECTRO-POWERED CATALYTICA GONNA TRANSFORM MY EVRY BLOOD VESSEL INTO A SQUIRT MECHANISM FOCUSSED SOLELY ON STARTUP EXCELLENCE!

but plz....

when I am on my period, las' thing I want is no kinda jumpstart scenario tbh.

Even a rope dangled into the abyss from mebbe 200 feet way over my head is too much.


So, hey -- f*ck off random listsa words (in particular anythin' "meaningfulular", cos that is jus' kinda STOOPID.)

This is sound advice guys. Good point on the feasibility of an infographic being a 'be all, end all' for words to use, what we do want is to spark the mentality of how to think when writing copy. That's pretty powerful on it's own and CopyHackers does a great job of that, we're looking for more ways to drive that too.

What categories would you feel are critical for content like this? We're throwing thoughts around so this is far from concrete.
