Which are the new "classics" sales letters?

COPY WRITING

I M has been around well over a decade now and I am sure some new gems have appeared.
So which are your favorite I M sales letters? Maybe even some that are still live?

Ok, so I am going to go first and suggest Fat Loss for Idiots as a "classic" reason being that it was unconventional, broke many of the rules that are supposed to be in sales letters yet it still managed to have a high conversion rate and managed to stay on top for a long time

Any others? I want to see more suggestions because I want to learn from them.

The best collection of *New Classics* I've seen are in Harlan Kilstein's book, "Steal This Book."

It's hardcopy, and you can get it off amazon. Yes it is expensive for a paperback ($195 cover price), but if you hand copy those letters, you will make back your investment many times over.

It's got letters that Harlan has written for Frank Kern, Wayne Dyer, T. Harv Eker (including the one that got me to go to the Millionaire Mind Intensive years ago), and many others.

John Carlton's got some classics floating around in swipe files as well, but most of these do not cover the new internet info-marketing era.

If anyone has other recommendations, I'd love to hear it as well.

"Classic" IM salesletters... here's a few of my favorites:

Traffic Secrets 1.0 (written by Michel Fortin) - 1.1 Million in the first 24 hours alone.

Underachiever Mastery (Fortin) - a Frank Kern and Ed Dale product

Domains Into Dollars (John Hostler) - a Phil Craig product.

No, it's not all about sales. It's about the lifetime value of a customer and trying to maximize that.

But if you want to stick to strictly dollars and cents... let's talk net PROFIT.

When you figure Fat Loss was giving away better than 60% commissions early on plus the 7% or so that Clickbank takes for their merchant services, that 20 Mill drops in a big hurry.

It was the affiliate action that drove Fat Loss' sales... the salesletter was not as big of a factor as it's given credit for.

RE: Halbert pandora letter. Good find and a strong Halbert masterpiece.

Conversion is EVERYTHING for a sales letter.

It may not be everything for your overall business
success but it is EVERYTHING for a sales letter
because it's the best measure of how effective the
sales letter is.

Even though I understand the point you are trying
to make it's based on a false premise.

Don't know what Harlan wrote for Frank Kern but Fortin wrote Underachiever Mastery.

Although Michel got the credit for Traffic Secrets, he didn't do the entire letter.

To me, the most powerful part of the Traffic Secrets letter were the bullets.

Michel didn't do them.

They were done by a little known copywriter almost no one ever heard of.

And he'd pretty much like to stay that way.

If I remember correctly, everything was coming down to the wire for the launch to go off on time. Fortin was brought in at the last minute and had been working/reworking the 80 page salesletter around the clock for several days right before the launch... So another copywriter had to help with the bullets at the last minute too.

Sorry, but "Rich Jerk" is still the ultimate sales letter, IMO.

I've read/studied many sales letters and honestly, Rich Jerk's is the only one that pushed all the right buttons for me.

I didn't buy it, but was THRILLED to receive a free copy from a client who it referenced in his ebook I was ghostwriting.

What I liked was that the techniques taught in the ebook really were fresh and guerrilla. The info lived up to all that memorable attitude!

One of my online favourites from recent years, amongst all the 1s i've seen are Mike Filsaime's 'Butterfly Marketing Manuscript' copy. I thought that was fantastic, especially the headline which i really liked.
