I remember seeing a similar demonstration on one of the current affair programs.

The father literally toppled his baby into the water, fully clothed, then threw a towel over it's head.

The kid could barely walk but he got the towel off and managed to float.

Pretty impressive... especially as my hopeless ass had to be saved by a neighbor when I fell in the pool

Great video and the tone is right on for the market too.

Here's another famous example of demonstrating a product...

The old slogan for Timex watches was "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking".

Which really doesn't mean much until you see the watch smashed in surf by a speed boat or shot on the end of an arrow through a pane of glass and into a tank of water.

The secret it to SHOW that your product does exactly what you claim it can do in the most exciting way possible.

That's proof your prospect can see with his own eyes.

A great demonstration is engaging, intriguing, exciting...it draws your prospect in.

And it can create a buzz...."Did you see what those guys did with a Timex strapping it onto the front of a speed boat and smashing it around in the surf?"

Or "Did you see those toddlers floating on their backs?"

Demonstration is a very powerful, very effective way of getting your message across and online video is making the art of demonstration easier.

        Kindest regards,
        Andrew Cavanagh

Wow, I really wish I could teach my son that. I didn't start young for him, and now I wish I had now. That is amazing!

          Dramatic demonstrations are excellent persuaders.

One of my favorite was from Zig Ziglar's book: "Secrets of closing the sale". In it, he talks about going out and shooting one of his cookware pans with a hand gun, to show how durable it was, and having a sheriff notarize the whole thing.

What do you think is more persuasive, "our cookware is durable" or "you can shoot it with a gun at close range, and it will still be usable!"
