Alright. So, you come in here, with 8 posts, and offer us the "opportunity to promote your ebook" in exchange for a copy critique?

No offense man. But I don't know you, and I probably won't be promoting your ebook.

But I won't know that until you post a link.

If it's the link in your signature my verdict is it's a bunch of MLM BS links and I exited within the first 10 seconds of seeing the site.

If you want to post the link I may give you some feedback...

If the book seems good I may be willing to promote it to my list, from what I've seen of your style so far I'm not a big fan.

The link in my signature is my email address. If you are talking about my website/blog that is a ton of information and text and not a ton of links to different mlms. There is only one promoted on my site as far as that goes.

A little harsh, but correct.

Drew, I think what Scott is really saying is that you only get one shot at a first impression, so learn to make the most of it.

While I may not have many posts, I do have more then some, and less then others. I have been a regular reader of WF for some time, but until recently had never truly taken advantage of forums as a marketing tool.

What I have not done is post single one line comments to bump my post count. I have not asked anyone to critique my products. Nor have I asked for anyone to promote my products.

What I have done is to write what I think are helpful and informative posts that will let people know that I am not simply a fly-by-night hack. This is called building a rapport.

Many people come to a forum and simply look at it as a place to spam their products. This is not the case here at WF. Many warrior forum members may turn out to be some of your best customers, affiliates, or even joint venture partners. So the last thing you should do is post anything that will illicit a "harsh" response.

Things would go a lot easier for you, and any potential new marketers, if you think before you post. Many people here have seen it all. They can tell who will still be here a year from now and who won't be. Think of these members as part of your target audience, especially if your trying to market anything that is business, internet marketing, list-building or traffic related.

Nothing frustrates warriors more then seeing a new account posting 50 one line thank you posts, then posting a ton of adds saying here's my stuff, buy it, promote it, and make me money. That type of attitude will not fly here and I assure you there is no shortage of people who will prove it.

If you want help from the WF members, I suggest you make an effort to be an active contributor to the boards. post messages that require thought, invoke some form of thoughtful response and that actually provide a quality discussion. This also means posting complete messages. Include all relevant information to the topic you are posting about.

Now, to give you the benefit of the doubt. I have not read your other posts. I do not know you, nor do I personally know Scott. But others have, and there are people here who keep track of "undesirables". So make sure that you never make it to that list. If you do that, then you will likely have a long and quite productive relationship with the Warrior Forum.

I appreciate your reply. FYI I don't even have the product available yet and I see how it came across as simply just trying to get my stuff out there. No spamming or ridiculousness here. I'm not interested in nonsense.

As with anything, building rapport and contributing is very necessary especially in a forum of online business people. If my post offended you or anyone else that was not my intentions so please don't take it as such.

How is your "skip the mistakes" product doing for you? Have you had a lot of good feedback on it? It looks great.

The Skip The Mistakes site is new. Having just started it a week or so ago. This is a new memberships site, and the book is free. Presently of the visits I have received for traffic I have gotten pretty good results. I still need to get an "unbiased" review of the material though that I could use for promo material for the site affiliate members.

My directory site is doing well. I had a problem with it last week that needed fixing and I just started to promote it heavily this last week. I am still looking for people to add their links.

I'll give any WF members free upgrade if the use the coupon code "warrior" when they submit sites to it.

A link from your resource page would be greatly appreciated. I have several dozen sites currently in productions and can possibly return the favor for some of yours if we have compatable niches.

I have not made a major push yet for STM, only because I am working on several finish copy ebooks this week. I have 1 pet niche book due out this week, one motivational in development, and a couple others. As the pet niche, pet health, is very dear to me, I have been heavily promoting that site.

As for your STM membership, the ebook that I am pretty much finished with walks people through setting up a marketing pipeline online (tm)... kidding, it's not (tm)ed, but if you say that out loud it sounds great. Anyway, we might be able to work something out as far as giving it away for free for a while.

Obviously I have a biased opinion of it so by just giving it away for a bit and seeing what the feedback is like, it would provide value for your membership and I would be able to tweak it.

Getting people off on the right foot is something that I am very passionate about and I think that that would be helping a lot. Let me know what you think.

Drew, can you let me know what options you were picking when you tried to add your site? I have been having problems, so I need to retest it.

It did not give me an error message. The only thing that happened when I hit submit was that it reloaded the same page... So I typed in the code at the bottom again and... again it just reloaded that initial form fill. That's it, no error messages tell me that I missed a field or anything like that. Hope that helps.

I will have a look at it. Seems that I always have some trouble with it of late. The Paypal address While listed as required, is not really (I will correct that). But it should not have prevented you from entering anything.

Usually the error is hard to find (was going to correct that too), as I found myself having trouble sometimes locating the error message. PM the urls you want to have added and I will add them manually for you.

A lot of people including myself thought that once you wrote an eBook people would be happy to promote it for you, after all they would be making money.

No, no. no. What the newbie lacks is credibility and it is the creditibility of the product and the author that needs to be created. For an affliate to take a some unknown eBook and sell it, could compromise that affliates customers list whom there have spent years protecting.

First you have to sell yourself, then your product.
